I use to drive a 10 wheel dump and would deliver to contractors yards and remember a couple of places where if you banged the gate or used the jake they would come out and lose their minds. Good tomes 👍

Freddy has the T800 clean you can tell hes an old school highway hauler. The company sell your old W9 yet. Western Star I used to drive it always had exhaust regen issues. Its not in me to drive a truck hard always let the engine do its thing. With these new trucks you have to get the engine hot so it burns off the carbon. I dont like engines that are forced to eat their own sh*t. I cringe running an engine over 2000 rpm. My old Kenworth with a 10 litre Cat no emmsions engine it pulls along at 1200-1500 rpm.

Mike you need some custom mud flaps on your trailer. Cardillo on the Small mudflaps and The Boston trucker on the middle one.

From what I’m told, that is the high exhaust temp light. It comes on while the truck is doing a passive regen. Apparently Cummins comes from the factory setup to do them every 100hrs. That rpm change is extremely annoying with an auto shift. It makes the truck very jumpy/jerky and extremely difficult to bump a dock softly.
@TheBostonTrucker6 сағат бұрын
I’ll have to look into that, thanks for the tip!

We pronounce loam as lome here in Oz, but it's the same stuff. I actually hate carting it because it ALWAYS sticks. You end up with a couple of tonne still sitting in the trailer after you've tipped. Much prefer sand or aggregate. Good vid mate, keep up the good work.
@zacharyholbrook79306 сағат бұрын
The Boston trucker keeps it off the dog houses that's how he avoids sticking. But that might not be possible with a shorter tub

Usually when I see that and I have time to sit, I’ll I’ll hit the region button inside the cab and I’ll do a parked regen

Your going to have start running that truck higher rpm than your used to or its going to have that high exhaust temp all the time . " Run it like you stole it "

Okay thanks

Unfortunately that the kryptonite of new trucks. They're truly meant to run long runs like on the interstate 😢 happy trucking 😊
@wadelevan17876 сағат бұрын
@@TheBostonTruckerlol Mike this is also not true. Emissions systems need heat to operate efficiently ( burn off soot) lower rpm means higher exhaust temp = good for emissions system.
