To them, I was one of the more easy-going, humorous, and "chill" people they hung out with, but my music had "no chill" according to them lol. They couldn't understand it. I honestly ended up listening to a lot less metal at first because nobody else could really stand to listen to it. That's so crazy, I've had Lorna Shore's latest EP on repeat for two days because I just discovered these songs (they blew my mind a little bit), and I was just looking for interviews, and this pops up :D thank youuuuuuu

This interview is thoroughly enjoyable…the seemingly natural and interested engagement between you and Will makes it infinitely more interesting to watch. I’ve seen a couple of interviews Will has done and find myself surprised at how personable he actually is. I wasn’t expecting to watch the whole interview, but the back and forth was supremely engaging. Outstanding work, Elizabeth. Great interview!

This interview is so f*cking awesome!! I am not a Black Metal guy, I've just been exploring it for like a week or so. Honestly I thought a lot of it was funny because it's so over the top. But then I saw this lovely vocal coach watching this video by Lorna Shore who I had never heard of and O M G!! That was one of the craziest, scariest, most darkly beautiful and powerful songs I have ever heard. And this guy's voice is absolutely bonkers! And then I saw this video and honestly I was like "Hmm the vocal coach is talking to her pretty friend about the band and THEN I realized the pretty girl is a pretty boy ITS FREAKING WILL RAMOS WHO SOUNDS LIKE HE IS CHANNELING LOVECRAFTIAN ELDER GODS!!!! I am freaking out because he's like the nicest guy in the world and I ain't gonna lie you two are VIBING!! Thank you Miss Charismatic voice I am subscribing foh sho!!

There's a lot of people in the Metal community that should learn from Will. Broaden your horizons, listen to different types of music to appreciate different techniques, not everything has to be heavy, opera is not the enemy, pop is not the enemy. You can't get through life thinking you are above everyone else because of your musical taste, when you learn to have an appreciation for other things it can work wonders for building relationships with people. Look at how well these two people with different walks of life have meshed together because they have a mural respect for each others craft.

Most metalheads that I know of are really open minded to music. Metal in itself is such an odd genre. You have to be open minded to listen to smegal heading a metal band

@@L2Stream Take one look on the internet in the comment section of any metal song ever and you'll see that it is not the case.
@L2Stream3 жыл бұрын
@@shona5512 It definitely is the case even if you listen to this guy talk he talks about not even listening to metal even though he plays in a metal band. And actually how a lot of metal musicians are too. I listen to freaking metal but I will also listen to like Japanese future bass. Metal and classical go hand in hand and that's also one thing that a lot of metal heads will acknowledge you'll find that a lot of metal heads are classically trained especially if they're a guitarist
@shona55123 жыл бұрын
@@L2Stream I'm not talking about those. Most metal musicians are some of the most open minded people with a wide range in musical abilities. I'm talking purely about the metal fanbase, who don't play the music but listen to the music exclusively. While you will have a minority of people who will listen to anything and everything and respect other genres, you also have a huge amount of elitists that will only listen to metal subgenres and say everything else sucks. You don't have to venture far to find those people. Those are the people I'm referring to when I say that they could learn from Will.
@jarrodgunn3152 жыл бұрын
As a metalhead, I would mostly agree with you.. But i would also point out that closed mindedness and elitists exist in all forms of music. As someone who resides in a part of the United States where country music is very popular, I'm told on a regular basis from some of these fans that "Metal is just noise" , "Metal isn't real music" or "Metal is just for angry people". Just some food for thought :)
