I've also seen "get ready with me"s to where they wear the worst outfit. By that I mean offending the bride kind of an outfit, wearing white dresses and saying they want the attention. Yeah, hell no.

I agree with both you two. In my personal opinion, I really can’t stand most vlogs - both male and female vlogs. There are a couple of them that are okay - some I like are Maya Lee, PewDiePie, Garden Answer, Pokimane (although she did do one random vlog were she talked about the best bras to wear while gaming, lol. 😅 I don’t recall her showing anything though), and of course, Brett Cooper when she does do them of course, but most of them are just kind of weird to me… like I don’t need to see people doing regular things that all red-blooded Americans do in the morning, like brushing your teeth and drinking orange juice. Then their are the slightly lesser known “Christian vlog” channels, such as Bindi Marc to name one example, where the topic of the day is something such as “thirsty men”, “if your husband wants some nookie, have him do some dishes”, or “how to be ‘Christian’ sexy”, and then every thumbnail proceeds to have a woman with a skirt so long… you get the idea. I think I would just rather read my Bible, haha 😂. Overall, I am just saying this in all good fun, and don’t mean anything by it, but yeah, vlogs can just kind of be a weird rabbit hole to go down. 😅

When my husband died, I didn't want anyone to post about it until I could process it. His friend who thinks he's an influencer announced his death and posted literally 5 minutes after he died. Then now, almost 2 years later, another friend who is an influencer talked about my late husband and said "it was great to connect with [dead husband's name] friend." When he didn't even bother to reach out to see LATE HUSBAND'S CHILD. That's how to connect instead of posting about it. They are so disconnected.

Basically. 😂 But sadly I DO get the reach of an excuse ....I watch an influencer (that wouldn't do something like that...) and she says she shares her lifestyle in love. I get that ....she's wealthy beyond what most of us can fathom, even most celebrities I don't think can keep up and it IS nice to get a glimpse in....this dude was saying he's letting people live vicariously through him so he thinks he's being loving to OTHER people....like viewers ...not necessarily the bride and groom lol 🤣 Though as a narcissist he probably thinks it's a huge compliment that he's willing to betray their privacy with his stamp of approval to share it. That's how my guy/gal friend did things. He would betray my privacy then later ask "oh, that was ok, right???" Especially when it was stuff he thought was embarrassing. To get attention. He was also Historonic if not NPD. So it's typical....that's all I'm saying.

A wedding is the ONE day where it is ALL about the couple. Not anyone else, JUST the couple. That is a universal thing that everyone understands. If you can't put your camera down for ONE day and celebrate your "friends", you're the problem. You can't even apologize for the mistake and instead BLAME the couple for publicly agreeing with everyone else after you PUBLICLY shared their special day before they ever could. I feel so bad because they're supposed to be enjoying their honeymoon (a once in a lifetime thing for most) and they have to deal with this. The "influencer mindset" is truly a disease.

I asked my photographer to get a difficult shot that she successfully found angle for. It was a shot of my husband looking down the isle at me as I came and my aunt blocked my face in the shot with her phone while trying to take her own photos. At my husband's cousin's wedding, the pastor and there were signs saying, "Please don't record or post our ceremony." Well, my FIL recorded part of the ceremony, and my husband told him, "Dad, you can't record." And he said, "I will record if I want to." My husband looked at me and I did a, "Idk what to tell you..." face. My FIL sister also recorded part of the ceremony and posted it online! Well the cousin's wife got upset! My husband's cousin called his aunt, upset! "What part of the do not post did you not understand? The reception pictures are fine, but we specifically asked not to post pictures of the ceremony?" The aunt lost it! She started to play the victim. When my FIL told us what happened, we were on the bride's side and my MIL too. It's their wedding and what they requested. It was the only thing they requested! Heck, when we took pictures, at the reception with the bride and groom, I showed the pictures to the bride and asked her if I could post them, when we got home. She said, "OMG, yes please!"...Follow the rules!

I had to Photoshop what I could just to feel ok putting it online. Glad she didn't know my friends mostly, since she posted what she wanted. It's rough to think of paying for it to be a certain way and it's not but worse to think your aunt and MIL were disrespectful. I'd want some money back. Dear lord 😡 I truly CANT STAND when people who chronically victimize themselves with every single perceived hardship, from identity, sexuality, illnesses etc. when the very basic reason is simply explained, is the most obnoxious thing about social media. People falling difficult illnesses that people really struggle with, on a very massive scale of hardships, to people always using their identity/sexuality as THE ONLY reason that they’re being called out, when it’s really their crap personality etc. I can’t.

During my wedding my wife and I requested that if anyone took photos to send them all to us instead of posting them and we sent out a link to an album about a month after the event. Anyone who didn't want to comply was asked to leave. We had people not show up due to some wedding rules set. It's their problem with not listening, someone send them back to grade school so they can learn.

I've been a wedding photographer, and one of the things that I say is, "Please keep your phone away. Do not take photos, especially during the ceremony." I've only got one chance to photograph that first kiss, and if someone puts their freaking phone into the center of the aisle, it can ruin MY shot, and the couple doesn't get the chance to have that moment captured by a professional they paid a lot of money for. I can't imagine having to shoot around someone VLOGGING during the ceremony.

So in a situation like that, you kinda do need to be explicit only because people today don’t have common sense and you should point that out to them. It’s like when you’re in a presentation or a conference and at the beginning on the screen, it says turn off your cell phone and the person even says before I start turn off your cell phone and literally 15 minutes later someone’s cell phone is going off. I don't normally comment on KZbin, but I had to on this one because it's so completely insane. The level of narcissism is astounding. I'll admit I know who none of these people are, I don't use much social media so my knowledge about current trends, influencers, pop culture, is generally from videos like this (which I quite enjoy). Politically, I am somewhere in the middle, though strongly lean to the left on certain issues. The past couple years I've decided to watch commentary videos from all across the political spectrum, but especially those who I disagree with, because I want to understand others' viewpoints. This and Brad Polumbo's channels are my favorite and I'm grateful to be watching because it's helped me have an open mind to all political viewpoints. I'm only gonna bring up the trans thing because I am a transgender man and I hold some viewpoints that the LGBTQ community considers "problematic." Bringing ant-trans bills into this person's "apology" video was completely unnecessary, and here's the thing. Obviously I can't speak for all trans people, but a lot of us just want to integrate into society and be treated like everyone else. I don't disclose the fact that I'm trans because it's not my entire personality. I think where we miss the mark is by hammering people over the head with our beliefs and forcing acceptance and accommodation when doing so only pushes people further away. By framing EVERY topic and every controversy as a trans rights issue, we're not gonna gain anyone's acceptance. You can't change people's minds with anger. I know I have family members who will never be okay with the fact that I'm trans, and they don't have to be. I'm not oblivious to the fact that it's not the safest time in the world to be trans, but for the love of god, this was one of the WORST ways to bring it up, and this is an example of how we are literally "pushing an agenda." Sorry for the rant, but I felt this was something that needed to be said (and maybe you don't get a ton of trans people commenting on these videos, idk).
