We are moving in a few weeks, and when we are in the next house I will buy some chicks for us to raise from hand and fulfill both of our childhood dreams and wishes ❤️☺️☺️❤️

Back in my old flat, one night while preparing dinner, I noticed a lizard sticking out its head under the fridge. We stared at each other for about a minute. Out of curiosity, I took 3 grains of cooked rice and placed it under the fridge. The strangest thing happened. Slowly, the lizard stuck out its head and ate the rice. This became a routine and my nights were never the same. I found myself looking forward to cooking and eating dinner with my new found friend whom I fondly call 'Lizzie'.

I love how you caress, investigate, and internalize the textures, temperatures, weight, and even fragrance of an object with such intention and wonder. You pause to acknowledge the presence and properties of the fallen snow, the irregularly frozen lake surface, the rough surface of the fence post and the softness of the rabbit. In so doing you permit me to momentarily leave my self imposed boundaries. To me they are for safety, not a prison. But I do love your videos. They make my world complete.

Yes, each animal does have a story to tell! I'm 61 and yesterday as the wind blew and it rained, 4 squirrels were outside my window beneath our 3 Missouri pecan trees, digging up and munching pecans that I had witnessed them skillfully bury earlier in the Fall. Totally fascinating that they remembered where each pecan was buried! They were completely unmoved by the fury of the weather. I so enjoyed watching them! Hope-full in Hope, Indiana - Melissa V

On a brief stay in the Smoky Mountains just outside Gatlinburg, a long Summer ago, I went out for a walk looking for the top of the peak we were staying at and encountered a fox on his travels. We both stopped and stared at each other a moment, and then he continued on his way. They live such short lives, foxes, so I counted it a good thing to have born witness to his time here. It's the memory that stays with me the most from that vacation.

To serve instead of dwell on my melancholy" First, I just found your videos and absolutely LOVE them! This quote above hit deep inside of me. I had thought of this (not so eloquently) recently, with wanting to add chickens to our mini homestead. I've struggled with trying to figure out what is missing and what I'm feeling and felt that I needed to add something to "take care of " and focus on (aside from my fur babies) Powerful statement right there, so thank you!

He was the main man in my young adult life for years, and a loving companion. I wanted the privilege of caring for another living being. He was a colorful personality, and im sure regarded me as the pet....lol. We loved each other for 16 years, he lefts paw prints on my heart. The crunch of snow soothed my soul. Thank you. I’ve grown quite fond of deer, the ones near my childhood home lived near town since the hunters didn’t go there, and my grandparents managed a deer feeder so they could watch them. The does come running at the sound of food, and we learned they loved fruit, like melons, Halloween pumpkins, or lettuce. We also learned they loved stale tortillas, and would chase after them if you threw it like a frisbee. It wasn’t the most “natural” in any way but their skittish personalities were enthralling to me. They were so funny, and had such sincere eyes that glimpsed your soul, trying to see if you meant them good or ill. I miss them.

Sadly I don't have a pet right now but I'm planning on adopting a puppy because there are lots of homeless doggies in my country:(

Subscribed your channel today after I've been watching your videos from past 1 week. What a gem of a person you are and what a beautiful calm life you are living. I resonate with your thoughts about wild animals so much. Being a wildlife biologist,I have had amazing opportunities to experience that. It's a blessing to have an animal and to care for it like a child,as you mentioned. You are living a beautiful life and inspiring so many people too. All my love from India ❤️❤️

That thing you said about having the experiencie of looking into the eyes of a wild animal, it´s totally true, it is an unforgettable experience! I remember when I was a 12 year old child, I was on holydays in a cottage in the middle of the mountains. One night I was heading to the house when I heard this sound of crumbling leaves. I pointed with my flashlight and there it was, an animal I´ve never seen, that looked kind of like a cat but big as a dog. I concluded it was a mountain lion. We stare at each other for what it felt like an eternity but it probably was for a second. Then it ran away with the grace of a feline, dissappearing in the dark of the night. That second is a memory that will stay with me forever.

Beautiful landscapes Paola, so well captured..the cold outside balanced with the warmth of the baking and aroma of the mulling spices. Animals and nature are incredible, they are the arrows pointing us to the very hand that made it all, the loving Father and His son Yeshua/Jesus💙 thank you for sharing the beauty of it

When I was learning about Waldorf education in Portland, we needle felted; I know how much patience and steadfastness it took to make that wonderful bunny! Maybe that's why I do better at wet felting balls :). Your videos are helping this extrovert empty-nester learn to appreciate living further away from city conveniences and all that was familiar. Thank you.
