ironically, the game this one is based on is set in he real world, Gun soldiers are a thing, the girl with shadow is an important character, they are in major cities etc.

As far as humans characters go, these are some of my favorite in the franchise I get the statment of humans acting too much like its the real world though. Donut Lord gets a pass cause he fits the straight man role so perfectly, while still having good synergy with the other characters. I’m actually quite worried he might die with the way he was screaming out for Sonic. I like how Pretzel Lady is constantly trying to make it all seem normal whem you can tell she knows dang well its not Rachel’s paranoia and unwillingness to be involved in any of it is funny, and despite how long it was (much like this comment), I enjoyed the wedding scene and her getting to have a badass moment. Lee’s Agent Stone plays VERY well with Jim’s Robotnik. He reminds me of snivley from the old SATAM cartoons. Wade is a great comedic relief character that reminds of a character that should be in 21 Jump Street And I forget Shamar Moore’s character’s mame, but I don’t really care, I was just glad to my boy in the movie. I loved criminal minds because of him so it was a treat to see him again in Sonic of all things. All in all, the human characters in the movies have been some of the most memorable and enjoyable we’ve had in the franchise. Sonic X’s humans weren’t all that great. The only exceptions were Topaz cause she was a baddie, and Chris’s uncle Sam. TL;DR: I think the human characters in the live action movies are pretty neat

I hope that if Sonic 4 or 5 will come that Eggman Nega and Silver and Blaze will appear. I mean in Sonic 3 the main characters will be confronted with dangers of the past like Shadow the Hedgehog and maybe the revenge of Eggmans grandpa. I can imagine that Eggman Nega could travel back to time (the present) and that Silver and Blaze would follow him to stop him like a Invasion from the future.

I think with this movie, they will have an opportunity to improve the human character's use a bit more, have them research and dig into project Shadow While our main characters are off fighting and getting their collective asses kicked by the ultimate lifeform. You can't have a Sonic Adventure 2 inspired story without humans in it.

I saw the trailer when I went to see Beetlejuice 2!! To say this film looks incredible is a definite understatement!! Robotnik joining forces with team Sonic, and Robotnik's papa showing up, AND Keanu Reeves voicing Shadow, has got to bring this movie to the billion dollar club!! This movie's gonna be epic!! I hope they also bring in another character (please be Amy😁😁😁)

The older man is actually also Jim Carrey as Professor Gerald Robotnik, creator of Shadow and grandfather of Eggman & Maria (the young girl with Shadow at the beginning of the trailer). Also, Maria is, or was, Eggman's cousin.

Of course, the only reason Shadow has any hype in the third movie is because he's played by big action star, Keanu Reeves. Hollywood is a disappointment at this point.
