From my standpoint as a detailer I believe it'd be easier to remove the carpet and pressure wash it. Whats your reason for just extracting? Just trying to understand if I'm looking at things wrong or if there's something I'm missing?

I am hoping that, when you're ready to finally start using that garage, that you will do one more home garage cleaning, and then announce in that video that it will be your final ever project inside your house. One of your most amazing and miraculous transformations! And it was a video for those of us who love seeing you work wonders with carpets, because the carpet clean as well as the cleaning of the leather seats were the two most amazing parts of this video! With most of the cars you work on, the carpets look better after just a vacuum. This one...even after the vacuuming the carpets still looked awful. The new owner should be thrilled with the way this Rendezvous looks now. You gave it new life!

Mitch I dunno how you do it but you keep outdoing yourself everytime bro. You somehow not only manage to take cars people literally abandon and make them look great, but even (especially cases like this one) make then look better than when they left the factory!! My hat's off to you my fellow Canadian brother. Wish you were in Ontario so I could bring you my car for a detail. I don't even trust anyone anymore except you and your standard !

I always thought how interesting it was that the Pontiac Aztec and Buick Rendezvous were essentially the same vehicle but how the Aztec could be so butt-ugly and the Rendezvous was quite handsome. Great job, Mitch. Other than a few signs of trim wear, that interior looked brand new when you were done. Cheers, John 👍👍👍
@Radioactive_Slime2 жыл бұрын
Opinion here…the original Aztek was, well, ugly. Once GM ditched the stupid black plastic quarter panels and went body coloured, the Aztek was actually a pretty decent design. Quirky, but still decent looking. It never recovered as it would always be the ugly Aztek. But it was never trying to be anything it wasn’t. It was supposed to be different and “whimsical.” For me though, the Rendezvous always looked awkward, like it didn’t know what it was. A luxury SUV? A working man’s utility vehicle? A soccer mom car? I could never get to like it. Too many weird design elements that didn’t really jive. Mitch did a fabulous job on this though and it looks great. Cheers!
@Primus542 жыл бұрын
@@Radioactive_Slime I admit the Rendezvous was certainly quirky, but in a good way unlike the Aztek. I think the very confusing “snout” on it and the funky rear windows just made it appear like a group of high schoolers designed it during a pot party! Cheers back at you!

My boyfriend recently bought a pickup truck that was a farmers work truck with caked on mud on the carpet. I removed the seats, and the carpet, and got it back to plush carpet. Of course after shampooing it 5 times until I realized it was easy to take the carpet out! At least it made cleaning the rest of the carpet easy. I am struggling with getting the dirt off the plastic/vinyl trim pieces though..to which I am watching your videos for a refresher.

I know a few guys that have bought vehicles at public auction. A couple got very good deals, (both bought mid '90s Ford 4x4 pickups), the others not so much. In fact one guy got totally shafted, his new vehicle that was advertised as "immediately drivable", catastrophically grenaded about five miles away from the auction house. No recourse apparently.
