NO infact Bruce lee handed chuck his 1st movie role in a fight scene together in rome, that opened the road for chucks career. so he had Bruce to thank for that.

Chuck Norris jokes and memes are funny and good fun all around. But interviews like this give you a new perspective. I'm glad i subscribed to the dick cavett show. Interviews from a lost age of educating people on how people really are and what drives them.

Not to question mr. Norris but if you've never seen a Chuck Norris movie and you make an assumption about what his movie's are like - they are almost exactly as you would imagine.

Chuck Morris is a great tv actor. He starred in a weird show, about a pyschopathic cop, but he was very believable in everything he did. Who else could have played that part? Clint Eastwood, maybe, but not many others. People say, "His emotions run the gammit from A to B," but the character he played was a stoic guy. It wasn't the Charles Nelson Riley biopic.....he filled the role very believably....Funny thing is....even in that bit at the end of the interview where he tells Dick about the scene he is proud of......he drew me right in...made me want to see the clip of it...Hope it's available online. A good actor commands your attention, and makes you believe that he is really doing what he is pretending to do.....Chuck does that very well. The parts he played, he played very believably

One of the great tragedies of modern cinema, was that the final episode ever of Walker, Texas Ranger (-the real one with Chuck, not that...other one..), which I thought was supposed to be a movie, ended half way through the storyline. The funding was cut, and the story, the second episode, was never completed. So many questions...Not answered. Chuck Norris, we need closure!

Originally, Bruce Lee wanted Joe Lewis in the movie the “Way of the Dragon.” Which he turned down. The part went to Chuck Norris. Steve McQueen stated to Chuck Norris to take Bruce Lee offer. Bruce Lee was teaching Steve McQueen and family. I liked the movie was packed with every seat taken like Enter The Dragon.

That's pretty weird considering Joe Louis was 58 at the time lol. Also hard to believe he would have turned it down considering it was well known he wasn't very good at managing his money and was pretty poor in his later life (compared to what he should have had).

That was a very interesting interview which cleared up a 53-year-old mystery. But first a little background. That fight CN mentioned was not held in MSG but in the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel. I assume in one of their ballrooms. This was a version of a world championship promoted by one Aaron Banks It was labeled as a world championship but IIRC all of the participants were from this country. Or living here; in the case of an N. Tanaka. The opponent who broke CN's jaw was the late Louis Delgado. A young but reputable fighter from the NYC area. This fight was a way for CN to avenge a loss to Delgado a year earlier. That loss may have been CN's last loss until he retired around 1972. BB mag and other MA magazines mentioned the kick to Norris and he was off his feet several minutes. Was he knocked out ? I have heard rumors that Delgado had indeed broken his jaw and Delgado suffered a broken arm how that was possible I don't know. I would like to know that. But until I reviewed the above video I did not believe it. That cleared up a 53-year-old mystery.

Really, as an actor, he was most risibly limited. He was a performer. He was not an actor. Even be accepts it. His films are not masterpieces. They are awfully corny. But people liked them. And that is enough, as it should be.
