In this video I give my second update on my Z Fold 3 and the steps Samsung has taken to not repair my defective device.

To be clear, many of you think this video is about folding phones not being ready for prime time. That is false...this video is about a poor support process on Samsung's part. My Z Fold 2 has no issues and is nearly 2 years old.

I swore off Samsung after my Fold3 purchase. I am a former Fold2 owner and prior to that, owned every Note from its third iteration to the N20U (which I still own). My issue was not with a warranty exchange but the absolutely lack of support and countless hours of dealing with customer care and their media dept yet still getting nowhere. I had pre-ordered the Fold3 and was trading in my Fold2. As an early pre order customers I was supposed to have received a 12 month free subscription to Care +, $200 in accessories, a free 25W brick and an additional $50 for pre-ordering early. My original order was going to be $850 out the door with a 512 Gb Fold3, leather flip and s pen. My order was nearly $300 more... I went through the song and dance and told them I would just cancel and re order. I was told in writing not to cancel the order and Samsung would adjust the order cost once I was in receipt of the phone and goodies. They never honored their email. Agent after agent, ticket after ticket, manager out of the country, etc., no one cared. I finally told them I wanted to return my device and they could simply give a refurb Fold2 as I traded in my black and red Fold2 for a 512 Fold3. The rep told me I was beyond my return window. I felt so defeated and said fine. At the end of the day I felt that ultimately, my purchasing actions will speak louder than any complaint. Sad. You invest so much into a niche product or brand and they treat you as if they did not need your financial support in the first place. Cool.

I hope this gets far more views. Samsung deserves to be called out all over the tech circuit for these practices. They are also forcing customers in to arbitration agreements when you first boot the device.

I just went through the ringer with Samsung trying to get a warranty replacement for my Z Fold 3. Hairline cracks started to form down the center crease of the inside screen as the result of regular use of the device (rather than some external cause / aka not me doing anything). Called +Care first who said I would have to pay the $250 deductible which I disagreed with for similar reasons to you; this was a defect of the core mechanics of the device, not some mishap by me, which is the reason I pay for +Care. I'll happily pay a deductible when I accidentally destroy the device, but not this. I got on with Samsung warranty support who agreed with me and I shipped it off. 4-5 days later I received an email like you containing a new $500+ charge which I immediately disputed. Long story short, after playing hot-potato for 3 or so days (me being the potato) I finally got to someone who seemed to care and understand and they issued me a one-time waive on the charge. Fast forward a week later and I got a notice that they were shipping my device back but the top of the page says my warranty is now voided. So I foresee another call to them in my future since I've got two months left on my year.

We also had a bad experience with Samsung recently. Everyone in my family wanted to upgrade phones, so we ordered three S22+ and one S22 Ultra with the preorder bonus from their website, all within about 2 hours and on the same credit card. One of the S22+ and the Ultra were confirmed immediately, while the other two S22+ were just acknoledged (not yet confirmed). A week later, the first Plus model had already arrived, but the other two were still not confirmed (the Ultra was gonna take a few weeks longer anyway), instead their orders randomly got canceled after the first call to customer support. Many calls with them later, they basically told us there was an issue with the credit card (which there wasn't any on our side, as it worked fine on the other phones, and there was also no credit limit or similar), and that we should just order the phones again. Of course, the pre-order bonus was no longer available, and they also could not give us the bonus anymore.

I had a similar experience just recently. I am actually still waiting for my phone back. I had the manufacturer warranty for 1 year. Which doesn't expire until August. I recently noticed that the Z fold 3 factory installed screen protector on the folding screen started to get cracks in the crease. Started at the top and within a week it's in the middle and bottom too. So I was first told by samsung to go to bestbuy to get it fixed. I went, and they told be they don't have the parts to fix it. I called ubreakifix and they said they same thing. I then called Samsung back... They said send it in it will be fixed free under warranty.. I shipped it to them and a few days later I get an email saying they voided the warranty because during inspection they found a scratch on the bezel. The phone did not have a scratch on it. It's been in a case the entire time I have had it. Now they want me to pay 518.00 to fix a screen protector. I have called them a number of times and they refuse to fix it. So I am contemplating a lawsuit at this point, since the samsung forums shows a number of customers having the exact same problem. This will be the last samsung I buy. I have been a loyal customer since galaxy s 3. I also didn't have a phone to use, so I had to buy a cheap android phone to hold me over until I get my phone back.

I am in the same exact situation. My issue was no wifi. Just called and the repair side isn't open until Monday. In a case(purchased from them as well) the entire time, no water damage and they say I damaged the hinge. This is ridiculous.

I just sent mine to samsung. I'm nervous because of everything I've read! I also took mine to Best Buy, no parts. Meanwhile I have no phone. I'm super worried that they will try to blame me.

I think Samsung is lying. If the phone had liquid damage, it would not be working right now. I am sorry that you had to go through this. Samsung really needs to restructure their customer service and get competent people in there who care about the consumers.

Oh wow! So sorry for it. Even if it had liquid damage, it is covered under their Samsung Care PLUS. I just called them yesterday about it. Oh wow! That is crazy to hear.

If you have used the phone no matter what beautiful condition it is in, you'd be sending back a used phone? Uses by you. It would make sense why you would get a refurbished or rebuilt phone.. Unless the phone is dead on arrival then I don't understand getting a new phone for that situation. But I don't know that's how I see things I've had my phone for a year and it's a used phone in perfectly used condition. But it's not brand new for me to expect a brand new replacement under warranty or insurance. Idk that's just how I see it.

This is disturbing, especially since the Samsung representative essentially called you a liar. I'm paying for Samsung Care+ and assumed the wifi suddenly stopping would be covered. I had major reservations when buying the Z Fold 3 back in August because it just doesn't feel durable. This makes me question whether I should keep this phone or sell it and buy a phone with a proven form factor.

Sell it mine broke line center and black screen after 6 months then Samsung care plus replaced that one and same thing happened after 3 weeks now I’m on the hook for 1,200.00 I’m payments because they told the leasing company I was out of warranty and past the return timetable.

Care+ is shit. After taking my money for 4 months, I needed my fold fixed. They wouldn't accept a scan of the UPC on my box as proof of ownership. they wanted a receipt with the IMEI. SAMSUNG DOES NOT DO THIS.

bought the z fold4 on September 4th, on the 24th of December my screen had a random black crease down the middle... no drops at all no stress on the phone, it lives on a desk basically. I'm going this Monday to a "ibreakufix" store recommended by Samsung..I hope they warranty my phone, I'm making payments and if they don't replace it I'm asked out... 1 will never purchase a fold 4. As soon as they replace it. I'm selling it

My Goodness! Samsung, how disappointing. A company that takes a different approach to customer service is John Lewis, here in the UK. When you buy a piece of electronic equipment from their store and add on their care package; if anything goes wrong, you just return it for a new one. No questions asked, no fussing and certainly no frustrating Karen Managers. John Lewis's customer care is one of the best. Right up there, next to Lexus's customer care. I have that ZFold 2, and thankfully it is working fine, since I first bought it.

I couldn't agree more. As soon as a sale is complete, hell with warranty. Even with independent technician's report is not valid, unless they Samsung Authorised. Great awareness video. Sadly most warranty replacement turns out to be refurb not new, which I disagree.

They pulled the same BS with me. Repair center left voicemail stating scratches all over the phone (there was only small one on the back). There couldn't be any on the front because the screen was just replaced by Samsung. They broke the light sensor in the repair. Then spent 8 hours trying to return the repair center's call. They were useless when I talked to them, knew nothing. Got phone back 3 days later. They stated nothing was done to the phone, but the light sensor was now working, so who knows. Top to bottom, the support chain is broken IMO. Honestly, I'm not getting another Samsung product over their utter crap support/repairs.

I understand that in the phone are tabs (maybe litmus) that will change colour if water ingress. They should have proof of this and it should be a video whilst they are opening the phone. If they haven't then this should be under warranty as wifi is part of that. Obviously, you have moved onto Samsung Care, which should have been the starting point, anyone that has been through a warranty claim will avoid that if they have insurance or care as it is never fun! In most countries you get a refurb device under warranty, but Samsung Care may have a different policy, depending on the small print. I had a Pixel 5 that had dead pixels and Google sent me a brand new one. Apart from the Brexit difficulties, as the repair centre is in E Europe, it was a very good experience. Same with Apple, though I go to the store. They tell me what was wrong there and then and show me if I want. I had a free refurb on one issue and on an old Mac they offered a 50% discount on replacing the motherboard. I suspect that Samsung is losing money on their Fold line and they do have a higher than average fail rate (expected) so repairers are no doubt told to not allow anything through that breaks the warranty. Sadly IP68 is just a marketing trick used to brag and attract customers, the reality is that most water ingress will never be fresh water, and if you live in a high humidity region IP68 is better than nothing but not foolproof, and humidity will not always be covered.

I am in another country and spoke to a customer support officer to find out the prices of repairs, care+ etc. I was surprised that care+ did not cover accidental coverage besides 50% off the repairs. The officer was kind to tell me that the repairs cost often extend beyond the part that is spoilt eg if a screen is spoilt, they might charge you for other things . The other surprise was that the officer advised me to get s22ultra instead fold3 as there are many users whose sets have spoilt and the repairs cost a bomb.

I have owned all the folds and currently have a z fold 3, z flip 3, s21 and an s21 ultra. If I have an issue and get treated like you have been, it would be the last god damned Samsung phone I'd own.

Not saying this may worked for this issue. Apple also had a wifi issue that was the same And after weeks of watching videos I found a solution that was very simple. I blow dry the area where the wifi antenna was until the phone said it was too hot to operate, then I turned it off placed it in a zip lock bag and into the freezer until it was cold. After it was I took it out the freezer turned it on and to my surprise it did and the wifi was no longer Greyed out never had that issue again.

Sad to hear about your experience😢 I own a Samsung Fold 2 for over 2 years now. Yes i had some problems, but my local Samsung store in Amsterdam always have provided great service (including cost free screen replacement after some minor damage). I dunno, maybe it has something to do with Samsung in Europe, they are pretty good over here when it comes to support and service (at least, to my experiences). Learnfull video !

I had the exact same experience with Samsung with the wifi not working. They gave me the same line about the broken hinge. The phone was in a protected case the moment I received it. The only difference is they charged me $518. They shouldn't be able to get away with this.

i had a similar experience with aoc my monitor even had the plastics on it and they sent me a refurb with scratches and scuffs. had back and forth emails for about 3 months until i got a new replacement

I am sorry to comment on this video. But I do understand what you are going thru. If they cannot send you a new one, you might want to go the store and make your claim and speak with a manager. It is just terrible. That is why I am debating to stick with them or start shopping for other companies that make great phones. I loved blackberries and which they could make a come back!!! No other phone was like Blackberries. The last phone I got was the passport!! I loved that phone. When people see my use that phone, they ask, “what is that that you are using?”. Too funny! And I which they kept their OS. Anyways, good luck on getting your “new” phone and not a refurbished one. Good Luck!

I had the same experience with my iPhone. It totally drove me away from Apple products. Claiming water damage 18month old device, when the device was never so much as kept in humid or damp environment let alone dropped in water or sweat. It's insane greed.

I think the insurance company that T Mobile uses gives you a brand new phone when or if it can't be fixed. I just sent my Fold 2 in the other day and received a new phone. The repair guy inside of T Mobile even said that's what they do. And yes! Unfortunately, if you have any scratches or whatever on your phone they will try and blame that being it not working properly, which is BS! Especially when you pay insurance monthly for your phone to be fixed.

I also had an issue with Samsung for trade-in on my Galaxy ⌚️ for the Galaxy Watch 3. Samsung said that my old watch was nonfunctional because they said it wouldn't turn on so they were going to charge me for the difference from the trade-in offer. But I for sure knew it was working before I sent it in because I had done a factory reset and made sure all my information was off the watch. So I told them to send me watch back and I'll return the new one, after that I decided I would never go through Samsung for anything again.

Great content. I got my note20 ultra 7 months ago brand new from T-MOBILE. I had a problem with it they gave me a new one. That's why I will never buy an unlock phone from samsung. Or best buy, I will only go through my carrier.

Sounds like my multiple calls to AT&T, fighting for my trade in credits. The bill changes so much every month, I have no idea at this point if I'm getting screwed over or not. I'm sorry that Samsung is putting you through this crap.

I work in higher-end electronic boutique store in my city.. we sell phones and are also an authorized warranty service.. I have seen phones that have water damage from just the humidity in the air... People take their phones out on hot humid days and it is possible that it can happen... But rare.

I was too nervous to keep owning a zfold so I traded in my zfold 2 for a s22 ultra and got $800 off. Luckily I only paid $300 for my zfold 2.

I had an awful experience with Samsung on a trade-in. They claimed my device wasn't factory reset when I sent it in. Even though I absolutely did, I put in a request to have my device returned returned. Their response was they no longer had my device and charged my card the 600 dollars trade in value they gave me for the new purchase. It was a complete scam.

Literally same thing happened here with Samsung warranty, I had same issue with them I had one tiny dead pixel popped up all of a sudden out of no where , I reached out despite I had care plus but I didn't want to spend money to fix or replace , they created a ticket and I sent the phone to them , and your story was identical, my phone was flawless just like we new not a single scratch and service center said it had scratches all over ( lies) and they take it out of warranty, and have to pay $389 to repair ,I asked to send it back as I wasn't paying a dime and I even threatened to post the conversation and emails on social media and still they didn't care , after receiving the phone back i noticed the original screen protector on the inner screen was removed and front screen was popping out of the frame !! Apove all that they screwed up my phone. I knew have no option but to reach out to care ➕️ and they were nice put I had to pay $279 ( with tax) and I did ask for a new phone not a refurbished and Rep said he will do his best but not guaranteed , to be honest I think they did send me a new one, as it had stickers all around the frame unfortunately it was black where my phone was green , it didn't have any scuffs or scratches at all, I could not tell any difference from new phone , at the end Samsung does not stand by their products and I would definitely reach out to a higher level if I know how , I will post a video soon showing how I sent the device right before I handed to UPS and emails I had from Samsung service center and conversation for all their lies

That's unfortunate to hear, on the other hand my experience with Apple and their warranties has been fantastic. They changed the battery on my iPhone X years ago no charge, they replaced my AirPods Pros last year no charge, I even had the leather link watch band that had some delamination and they replaced it twice no charge. I also have a friend that has a Galaxy S8 phone and it's acting weird, if he calls someone they can't hear him but if he uses the speakerphone they can hear him and it's so weird, no one can figure out what is going on.

Yeah my experience the couple times I need Apple for a phone issue it was flawless and perfectly resolved. I don't really do iPhones anymore but this guy's anti-Apple rhetoric gets a little old. Apple did not write this playbook. At all. Own up to this Samsung nonsense without the "whataboutism" argument. And a refurb from Apple would have been basically a new phone. New shell and battery. Just sayin'. I'm not the biggest iPhone fan anymore but there's no comparison between the 2 the customer service-wise *in my experience.*

Yup, you are right, all companies do this now. Samsung is a tricky company. Going to the store directly might be better. I am thinking I must be careful with their products. I might want to return the Tab s8 ultra. I return the Samsung phone s22 ultra and they received it according to the tracking number. In 3 days, they sent me an email saying they are not refunding my account.

I'm having the same crap with Verizon and Samsung myself with my S21 Ultra. The first one boot looped and completely bricked on it's on and then they sent me a shitty used replacement that the battery is completely shot The Voice to Text turns off all the time and all data functions completely cease randomly because right after I got it they forced through a faulty update as Verizon always does when the new phones come out and my phone is now junk and I owe a crap load of money on it! I would absolutely love to sue them all!

Mine keeps disconnecting from the cell network as of two days ago and I have no idea why. i can boot it in the ass by toggling airplane mode, but other than that I assume it's the phone. I plant to try and warranty it (warranty is still good for one week and a day, i'm so close). I'm going to run a firmware update first and see if any of that works, but I just know theyre gonna try and jerk me around when i try to make a claim. and also, probably drag it out until my warranty is no longer valid. your video did not make me feel better. Subscribed, though, because I love how good you are at bitching about this. lol

I just had the same experience with Samsung, they are making me spending in excess of 10 hours on the phone, and asked fro >$250 saying that my device was 'bent'. It was in great condition, but they are totally lying. My bluettooth and wifi never worked since I bought the phone. I reached out immediately and took it to a Samsung approved repair shop and THEY diagnosed it and said it was a warranty issue. After Samsung got it, they said their tech people were said it was bent and that it was void warranty. Dont' buy SAMSUNG!!!!

Just made a claim on my zfold 3 for random reboot issues. I went through regular support which was not acceptable for me. I purchased the care+ went through them instead. Currently waiting on the replacement. If the refurbished one has issues with anything I will probably sell it and go back to my note 10 plus. As for my issue, I have done all troubleshooting, looks to be a corrupt OS or a component in the hw that causes it to reboot

I have just experienced the same thing here in the UK with Samsung terrible warranty. My flip 3 5g screen has delaminated creating a thick black line across the fold, I have sent it in for warranty repair centre (TMT first repair centre) and after countless times trying to contact them for over a month they are trying to charge me £290 for a replacement scre stating that its suffered from puncture damage even though it's only circa 5 months old and always been ina genuine hard case for its entire life. I have pictures of the phone when I boxed it up sowing there is no damage but all Samsung do is read froma script and won't say they can't change the mind of the engineer. Strange thing is TMT first has lots of review stating the exact same thing when you Google them of trying to rip people of in the exact same way

People be aware. Samsung is the biggest rip off. I have a Fold 3 512GB paid a lot for it. Sent it to repair because it wasn't charging properly. Samsung use third party repair agents in Australia. They had my phone for four weeks. They replaced charging port. When I got it back it makes crunching noises when you fold it and unfold it with scratches on the screen from some grip they used. I had to send the phone back the same day. Now it's been 6/weeks and Samsung account manager calls me saying they have determined I physically damaged the device. So moral of the story is. Samsung is not a brand that should be selling high end phones. When it comes to warranty good luck. Apple is total opposite they would have replaced my phone less than a week. Don't spend 2k on a device from Samsung! They still have my fold 3!

Samsung is a complete nightmare. I'm right now going through the same bs. I got my Fold 4 in late Aug. and I'm already having screen issues. I sent it in for repairs and have been without a phone for 2 weeks now and still waiting. They don't have a screen replacement which I was expecting an actual phone replacement since it's only been a little over a month since I got it. I've called numerous times to get answers on how long can this go on for, and they keep telling me they need to wait till they get more screens. (who knows how long they can be with my phone) Another issue is, are they are going to give me back my phone with scratches from the repair? Honestly, this is will be my last folding phone and Samsung is trash. Apple would replace my phone for a tiny dead pixel with no issues. You have been warned!

I bought the z fold4 on September 4th, on the 24th of December my screen had a random black crease down the middle... no drops at all, no stress on the phone, it lives on a desk basically... I'm going this Monday to a "ibreakufix" store recommended by Samsung... I hope they warranty my phone, I'm making payments and if they don't replace it I'm asked out.... I will never purchase a fold 4. As soon as they replace it. I'm selling it

@@boostedrex9460 Don't bother going to the store, it's a waste of time. Just call Samsung back and say you took it to the store and they don't have any screen replacements. The store won't document that you went so it's just word of mouth. I finally got back my phone, it takes about two weeks to fix the screen and it's not a phone replacement. They basically take all the internals and put it in a new housing that's attached to the main screen. They also reuse your smaller screen and back plating. So far no issues but who knows if it's still water proof... Hope this helps.

Google has replaced 2 pixel phones for me no problem. The replacement devices were refurbished though not brand new. But still an easy solution to my problem

So in February I had to send my z-fold 3 back to Samsung due to the millimeter wave cover above the volume rocker on the z-fold 3 coming apart from the phone.. at this point in time I was using the device mostly at my house where I used Wi-Fi, well one day in my travels I noticed that I was getting really terrible service and it became a big issue so I sent my z-fold 3 back to Samsung and they did return my device back to me so it would appear. I was okay with that I just wanted a Samsung expert to be the one to work on my device.. they fixed the cover on the side of my phone and the phone no longer has service issues so Samsung did what they were supposed to for me. They got the device back to me and the timely manner and the whole situation was surprisingly not very stressful. I'm sorry to hear this happened with your phone too and I would not want to have received back a device that said refurbished on it either we paid $1,800 for these phones when they were released and we should be treated like we spent our hard earned money and not like common criminals that are trying to get away with something.

@@BlizzyM0bileGunner I just got a message from Samsung, they have accepted my warranty claim, they are fixing my phone at no charge and it is on the way back to me. If I get it back when they say, it wil only be a one week turnaround! I am pleasantly suprised. I will let you know the final outcome.

I received it exactly 1 week later and it's completely fixed!!! Yay. I absolutely cannot believe what a wonderful experience it has been. I love when the system works! Again, I used the warranty because I had no insurance at all on the device.

I’m done with Samsung, specifically for this. They need to completely overhaul their customer service. And if you going to copy apple, just copy their customer service. I had my Note 8 screen deteriorate days after my warranty, got a sorry they would love to help but can’t response. I love the s-pen for drawing. Got the tab s6 lite. Had ghosting, they told me because it goes away after a few hours it’s not broken. Sold it, figured a flagship tab s7 will be better. Was great for 3 months. Light dots appeared. Their service tried to pressure me into saying something that would void my warranty. Eventually they took it and replaced my screen with a screen less faulty but still had the glow. Was told they don’t see it and told me to get out. This was after them losing my number and going through this process trying to make me feel like it’s my fault. Sold the tab gave the dude the papers it’s still under warranty, and never buying Samsung again. It’s a shame as when their devices work they are fantastic! I know you what on Apple saying it’s the same, but that’s just not my experience, and I’ve dealt with them in Shanghai, HK and Sydney. Replaced my device no problem. And we’re even lenient on some stuff like changing battery for my girlfriends iPhone for free when it was at 85% and the policy is 80%. Now I have a theory this only happens if you have an apple store near by. Their phone service isn’t any where near as helpful as their store. And no company becomes that big without shady practices.

Wow, bro, I'm only 3 mins into your video and I have it paused bc at this point in your story it's an exact mirror story of mine except they told me I had frame damage, screen cracked, camera scratched, sent me email with a $600 bill for repair and I took pics of my fold 3 while at ups boxing it up to ship to them. This is just a tiny fraction of my story but basically Samsung tried scamming me out of almost $600, Best Buy refused to help after being told the story which I offered to provide evidence and proof of everything that took place. I bought the fold 3 with cash from B.B. and by law even though they aren't the manufacturer they are still liable for defective device. Oh by the way this all started bc my data stopped working instead of like your wifi it was my data. I did same as you, reset phone, not a single scratch on my phone, in case since day one never dropped, took it to B.B. to try and use my insurance plan which Sai bc it had no physical damage there was nothing they could do unless I paid 250 for my deductible to get new phone. Why would I do that when the phone after only 3 months became defective all on its own and was in 100% perfect condition physically. They said I should take it to ubreakifix bc they were authorized Samsung repair. So I went there and they did a complete software refresh which of course didn't do anything so they said take it to t-mobile for a new Sim card which I did and you already know I'm going to say that didn't do squat. My last option was a warranty claim through Samsung where this comment started and they tried scamming me for 600 bucks. I told them there must be a mistake bc my phone was in perfect condition when I sent it to which they said ok well were sorry that's speculation and we can't help you, so I said but wait, I have several forms of proof to prove it's not speculation and my phone was actually in perfect condition when I shipped it out. Nope, still can't do anything have a nice day....wow, I was blown away. Not only did they refuse to help, ever rep I talked to talked to me like I was a piece of s$^!. At this point I was 38 hot...si called the next day after considering my options and told then don't touch my phone and send it back immediately. They said ok, so 2 months later I finally get my phone in mail ( that's a while other story with taking 2 months to ship). Guess what, while opening the shipping box that arrived 2 months later I had my buddy video tape the opening and I couldn't believe what happen next.....there it was, my phone, still in perfect f#($!%@ condition....wtf? Is this real? Am I dreaming? So your telling me, they blatantly lied to me in a attempt to get 600 bucks from me. Wow...it was than I took the phone to best buy along with speaking to over 6 employees from sales associate all the way up to a lady named Destiny who was a Executive Resolution Specialists. After what has added up to over a solid week of 24 hrs days worth of trying to get this phone replaced or fixed, neither of these multi billion dollar companies would do the simple right thing of helping me with their defective product. I mean just think about that, best buy alone is worth over 18 billion dollars, and here I am, struggling just to make it in life who saved for over 6 months for the most expensive phone just to end up having a $2k paper weight. $18 billion dollars, and they couldn't even do the right thing. I wasn't even asking for any favors or anything above and beyond, all I wanted was working phone .....I no longer trust any of these big businesses further than I could throw that b$&@% Destiny.....messed up part is, there is nothing I can do about any of it and these billion dollar companies get away with these scams and treating us like we're dirt in their rugs.....I'm sooooòo fed up with it

The same issue is happening with my tab s 10.1 from tmobile although it's about 10 to 11 years old and has alot of other issues but the same thing happened where Bluetooth would work but not wifi

My zfold3 started doing this...while in another country. the wifi breaks as soon as I open the phone. if i keep it closed everything is fine. ironically i contacted samsung not long ago for cracks at the creese of the inside screen fold and dead pixels. i have no case, just skin. and i do rest the phone on hard surfaces so there are some scratches. but there are laws that protect us from manufacturers denying claims.based.on irrelevant damages. ill.be going in person to the samsung store

When will companies start having U.S customer service based in the U.S? Out of U.S CS is complele BS as they do not feel liable and pretty much have open door to trash on U.S customers without consequence. My experiences with Indian, Philippine customer service has always been trash.

My s21 ultra keeps restarting its never been touched simply booked repair under warrenty it needs a new motherboard they refuse to do it as the phone has wear and tear scrathes on so its going to independant phone repair company for a few days

Out of nowhere my galaxy z fold 3 developed a thick black line along the inner fold/display. I've never dropped the phone or spilled anything on it. Samsung now wants me mail in my galaxy fold 3 for potential "repair" and would require me to be without a phone for 10-14 days. Who the hell can be without a phone for 2 weeks and it sounds like they may try and find anything on phone to say I voided warranty etc?

@@erinwhite5823 Hey Erin. If I may offer a suggested that worked for me. They will most likely try to charge you - saying that it is somehow your fault. I then called and spoke to samsung care rep and told them I had taken pictures and videos of my phone at the post office before I mailed it in and it is 100% not my fault and the phone was in perfect condition. I also mentioned a lawyer and class action suit.....He then told me he would waive the repair fee. I was sent an e-mail from samsung with proof that it would be covered by warranty. I hope this helps and you have the same eventual outcome that I had.

I just sent in my galaxy fold 3, the screen protector peeled in the crease, then the screen became unresponsive and a black bar appeared where the crease is. I showed some of my friends before sending it in an black streaks extended from the black bar. Samsung stated that the device was not under warranty and wanted to charge me $518.

I have had same thing happen to my fold 3 and its in being repaired, just received an email to say parts are out of stock and they have no eta of parts coming in as of yet. I am hoping it's being repaired under warranty as no costs have been mentioned

I worked for a year at Samsung warranty repairs. I can't give you an exact percentage, but a lot of smartphones came with water damage. Like a lot a lot, it was one of the most common issues. I wouldn't have believed how often it happens if I wouldn't have seen it with my own eyes. I also have 7 years at 3rd party repair shops and it also happened a lot, with any brand, not just Samsung. The thing is that these IP ratings are only theoretical. So, even if your device has an IP69, you should still keep it as far away as possible for any liquid (or dust, but especially liquids). Going back to the case from this video, we can only trust that this youtuber is telling the truth, so, let's assume he is. Even a drop of water, sweat, or any liquid can always find its way into your device. It can also get water damaged if you're keeping it in a steamy room, like the bathroom or kitchen. Or it can happen by going with the device from cold areas to warm areas. And you don't need to do this things often, once can sometimes be enough. The idea that the corporate says "let's fake water damage so we won't have to give them new devices" is just ridiculous. It's the technician who finds the issues and he has no reason to lie. And he can't lie anyway, because he has to take pictures as proof, not to mention that the oxide doesn't appear right away, it takes days/weeks to form. And one more thing: when I was at warranty repairs, everyone was the perfect, most careful user. But at 3rd party repairs, whenever I was getting a bit friendlier with them and since they were going to pay anyway, they were usually admitting how they knew that they were the ones at fault. So, yeah, people lie all the time. Even on the internet, they lie hoping others will revolt against the companies, and they will get to replace their devices under warranty. In conclusion, if your device was diagnosed with water damage, at least at big companies like Samsung, then it's because of you, regardless if you did it intentionally, unintentionally or even unknowingly. Sorry, but it's the reality.

the cable inside has probably come loose, they atlatch like lego. flashing firmware is probably the reason that they don't want to touch your phone. Either way always get insurance

I have the Z fold 3 and it has this annoying screen protector that's bubbling up. I considered trading it for the S 23 Ultra but nobody could seem to get that right either. I've been on the phone, text and used their contact forum. I requested them to replace the screen. I received an email advising it would cost me 107 dollars. I obviously was with the Philippine customer care whom I couldn't understand them. I don't know why they charge so much for these phones and when the fail the don't do the right thing. I'm probably at my 8-10 hour dealing with Samsung and I'm just angry. This shouldn't be legal to not stand behind their products. This is clearly greed on their attempt to hold us hostage into trading it in buying another Samsung product. I'll fix it but I will never purchase another Samsung product. Totally disappointed and angry 😡

+TheDigitalDigest Samsung's customer support is awful. I had to deal with them countless times. My last time was with my first Galaxy Tab S7 and it was horrible. I have a Galaxy Z Fold2 5G and I hope nothing happens to it. But that's why even after a year I have done what's practical to not have to deal with Samsung with this phone.

I will never buy another Samsung device again. My z fold 4 inner screen broke from some type of puncture from dust getting in the middle of the inner screen. The samsung store technician said is covered under warranty but because my outside hinge has a minor scratch my entire warranty is void. The rep even agreed that it's impossible that the scratch caused the puncture but scratches void the entire warranty even if they are unrelated to the problem. I think of it like saying your new car's engine blew up but your back bumper is scratched so we're not giving you a new engine. They want $500 to fix the screen. Google will give $600 for a z fold 4 with broken screen for the pixel fold. Never buying Samsung again, worst warranty ever!

@@Techier868 All replacement phones are refurbs unless you have third party insurance that replace old with new. I am surprised that they would give a new phone for something that is now 8-9 months old, that would be very unusual, no matter how good your phone was looked after!

Samsung customer service doesn’t seem to have improved I had a really bad experience a few years ago and had the runaround and Samsung not accepting any liability. I changed to Oneplus for a few years but now back to Samsung. I now have 3rd party insurance which makes a mockery of Samsung’s warranty or care packages. Your situation and Samsungs customer service is not acceptable, Samsung needs to be made aware of this extremely poor treatment of customers and you have a platform to do that. Otherwise things will not improve as they don’t seem to have over the past few years. Hopefully you get a positive resolution

That's almost the same thing that T mobile did to me. Had to pay a restocking fee, for a galaxy s21. It was total garbage, full of viruses, and the apps not working properly.

I adore Samsung devices but their customer service is the absolute worst. I had the same experience when my z fold 3 would no longer connect to data and had issues with calls and texts. Went round and round with Samsung and care plus, they promised me things then broke them constantly. They really need to step up their game because their service is abysmal.

wow that is not right. I use Samsung for a long time but their customer service is not good especially when you want to have it getting repaired. Apple is lot better since they have a store. usually Apple gives customer a new phone immediately if they cannot fix the phone. unlike, like Samsung just playing around with customers. If apple comes with a new Flip phone, I'm gonna change right away.

Terrible service. At least with apple they have stores everywhere that you can walk into for support and in my experience they will fix and replace screens etc a lot of the time for free.
