Groundhogs are definitely like toddlers, I remember seeing one that was wild sitting on it's hind legs eating a piece of pizza enjoying torturing two dogs watching but locked inside. Have no idea how the groundhog got the piece of pizza, but it was hilarious. May you have many happy years together. Thanks for sharing.

Right he's just doing what's natural. If you can't make your home accommodating to the animal then put the animal back outside especially if it's wild. This is cruel and unusual punishment. I'm sure she wouldn't like to be locked up in Hazel's home with a bunch of nuts LOL 😂

We finally got a family home when I was 10 and my dad planted grass and a garden but spent the years the followed at war with groundhogs. I recently saw somebody in the same situation start feeding them rather than fighting and it made me wish my dad had tried that. It would have been great interacting with them rather than constantly hearing my dad vent his frustration over them.

I think she’s adorable! I used to volunteer at a wildlife sanctuary. We had one also that could not be released, Bogart. I used to carry him around in my hip while doing my job. The director saw me and told me to put him down. He then showed me his palm, HUGE scar! He said guess who did it? Bogart! He asked that I not tote him around. I really wanted to ask what HE did to warrant him getting bitten? 😊 Thank you for the rescue! ♥️
