No one who is still alive anyway. Judy Garland is another one who had it really bad growing up in the spotlight. Unfortunately she died in 1969 but I feel like if she was still around today, she could've been a huge advocate for speaking for Hollywood childhood trauma. Shirley Temple is another one, Michael Jackson, so many people. Hollywood is such a toxic environment especially for young child stars.

If your child is paying your bills you’re home is already broken. You should be able to provide for your child and not depend on them for finances.
@hydrosphere84473 жыл бұрын
@@cspan1993 I agree but I do wonder if I've been a little closed minded on that point previously. While I dont think children should have that responsibility and absolutely should not be exploited, if they come from a background that isn't priviledged enough to have 2 parents and stable finances, if you choose to support your child in their dreams at that age then the parent may well have to sacrifice their own job to be able to take the child everywhere they need and supervise etc. Obviously, using their earnings is very unideal but if they have sacrifice other sources of income to support them then the line gets a little blurred regarding the child's earnings paying the bare minimum needed to continue supporting them/siblings only. But the child would absolutely need to understand the situation and make that choice themselves. There's obviously the bigger question prompted of should parents as the responsible guidance (in theory) allow their children into child stardom when we've seen how damaging it is but disregarding that question for now - is it too priviledged to assume that parents should be able to still finance their lives, if they have to give up their own full time jobs to support their children..? If its unacceptable as a blanket rule then its yet another difference that makes it even harder to be successful if not from a wealthy family... I think its perhaps not as simple as we'd like it to be.

This was a great interview. As someone with CPTSD I had heartbreak before 16 and before a serious relationship and wtf judges anyone else’s experiences just baffles me. Love both of them ❤️

I feel for you. I had a difficult heartbreak at 15 and no tools to deal with it. Now 30, I’m still suffering the consequences. Stay strong.

I think people forget how resilient and tough Drew has been since she was a superstar as a 6 yr old child. She simultaneously battled personall troubles with her family, individual health struggles,and essentially having to start over as an actress in her late teens. She's obviously super talented but it's her fighting spirit I find extremely admirable and respect greatly. She's also never been an egotistical or arrogant person and her honesty shines when she interviews other people. She should be extremely proud of herself and I find it super easy to root for her continued success and happiness.

Great interview really eye opening and moving. “I’m an open book, but with boundaries” so very well said Demi the documentary was certainly groundbreaking if not, also deeply moving. 💛

Loved this interview so much Drew 😍 so classy... Love how you interact with your guests.... It feels really intimate like I'm a fly on the wall listing to your private conversation. Demi you glowed! I agree it's never too late for boundaries.

I can’t even imagine what it’s like to grow up the way that these people grew up. It’s so easy for us to say stuff like “oh well it’s okay because they get so much money for their work”. But money isn’t everything.
