"You don't even have to like yourself today to love yourself." This reminds me of what my old counsellor once said to me. She asked about my favourite musical artist and one song I didn't like by them. She made the point that even though they sometimes made art I didn't care much for, I still loved their work. She said, "You don't have to be a fan of (your name) all the time, but you can still love (her/him)"

Since ordering the book, I'd moved house so, in order to collect my copy delivered to a Post Office on the other side of the county, I had to cycle for 45 mins to the bus stop, catch two buses totally 1hour 50 mins, walk 45 mins to the Post Office, collect my copy of Love Life by Matthew Hussey. I tore open the envelope, read only the dedication, and knew the journey had been worth it for that alone. It carried me all the way home.

I’m 61 years old and found this to be so helpful for myself when he reframed self love, so true that we all can learn from, to keep taking care of ourselves as human first. ❤

LOL! Mathew is the biggest NARCISSIST! he hides it so well! professional actor! those who know him close, know how manipulative he is. Behind the "nice" mask is a Monster, who manipulates women and uses them to his advantage. He is a true hypocrite - he pretends to be the sweet guy, but underneath he is a Monster!

Makes so much sense. A reframe that made my hair stand up on end. I love that "it's not a feeling, it's an approach." It's therefore a trainable action which I know from experience can be easy to install in your brain just through the right kind of focus and repetition. I taught my brain to feel happy every morning, regardless of what else is happening and it works. I know that this book will be full of other hair up on ends moments so I've just ordered it. I've followed Matthew Hussey for several years and it's great to see him achieve so much success - in both his personal and professional life. He deserves every bit of it.

The term "self-love" for me is just the short version of: my parent(s) failed to give me the basics to grow up to a healthy, loving adult. Finally i was able to let go of that blame (using the phrase "they did as good as they could at that time") and I started to be responsible for myself- with the help of strategies like inner child work and re-parenting myself. I no longer blame others, i work on myself to learn how to be the best parent for myself. Today I can say: I am happy, I love myself_ every day, even when I do not give my best. I forgive myself if I fail, because there is always a new day to try again.

Self love is not to be egocentric but to take care of what God gave u, nurture it, listen to yourself, understand him/her and improve in areas u need to

This same logic can be applied to the Mind - Body relationship; use that as a motivating factor to take better care for your body and make healthier choices, and not just with food.

I’ve been following Matthew for awhile now and I loved some of the techniques he’s taught, but wow… this gentleman has come a long way and he is just incredible! He makes things real. I’m so so happy for him for finding true love too. He really does deserve the wonderful woman he married!

For years and years (more than a decade), I worked on self development. Honestly, it helped a lot. But, I never came to a point where I truly loved myself in every way. About 6.5 yeas ago, I had a supernatural encounter with the Lord (God) in my bathroom. He led me and I gave my life to Him. As they say, the rest is history. I honestly don't think that we can do anything ourselves. There has to be a divine grace and revelation-light where someone finally realizes their own true value. You can go to therapy (which can be great, don't get me wrong) for decades and still not get there. I truly believe that self-love, like everything else, needs a divine intervention. 😍✝️

He got a bad reputation when he was dating Camila Cabello by her fans. They believed he was using her for fame but they lasted for 1 yr together n she dumped him for Shawn so I think its safe to say he loved her. Additionally, he mentions post that breakup that for the first time he got his heart broken. And she writes a song about it, bad butterflies and his answer in the song about it is sooo Matthew. He is awesome
