41Extremo See, I could say "Too Soon," (in a joking way; English comedians were making jokes about it two days after it happened) but since the crash was on *Smiler* and not Oblivion, it's not just in poor taste...it was also wrong. :P The people riding Oblivion that day were fine. :P Well. Better than the people on Smiler, at least.

Batman Puh-lease. I went to Florida once, and they have a roller coaster that has two vertical drops that are identical to Oblivion (only bigger), plus several loops and corkscrews. Oblivion is...well, it's a waste of time. Besides the first time, it's pointless going on it again. The Swarm, on the other hand? I went on that three times on my first day riding it.

So, we've got (1) a stressed dad working through his family issues, and (2) an equally stressed, lonely woman who could use a sexual release. So... the story is NOT just the two of them having sex to alleviate their shared pains? All I'm saying is, this makes for a decent premise of a dramatic movie about romance-free sex and the relationships it can affect, NOT a fantasy video game.

Dunno, I'm having fun, mostly with the elf, since her special arrow attacks are fun to use. And compared to other cover-based TPS, the fact that you can get bum-rushed by melee enemies kept me on my toes and forced me to stay mobile, unlike, say GoW. Some puzzle are midly entertaining to solve, environment looks good and I'm pretty sure the dead family is from Elara's backstory. I disagree on the copy-pasted environments, at most those reused are just corridors that I rush through.

I don't think that the word complainer should be taken as an insult in this context. In this case, I think it's very descriptive. He is one who complains. He is a complainer. Definition: > To express dissatisfaction or annoyance about a state of affairs or an event. I think that's a fair thing to say that communicates my understanding of his videos without being derisive or insulting. The essence of his videos is to communicate dissatisfaction about one or more aspects of the game in question.

Got this used after a while of wanting it caused it looked cool and I couldn't agree with Yahtzee any more. This game is so co-op focused with terrible AI and lots of things don't make sense! One thing I remember is one character can do something that the other can't and to get to a different part of a zone, you have to climb over a wall or whatever and can't return (I think? )

As hilarious as this video was and I kept laughing out loud at it, I'm afraid I have to strongly disagree. It is a linear dungeon crawl no doubt and of course it doesn't have the best graphics or storytelling but damn I had a crap ton of fun with this game and beat it twice because Caddoc and E'lara are actually very likable, the world is interesting and the hybrid combat of TPS, spellcasting and Hack n' Slash is extremely fun. It's a game I can play over and over, especially the Crucible mode.

See, the idea of the cover-based sounds kind of great for fantasy. I really liked it in Mass Effect, and wanted more melee fighting capability

You're missing some-thing major. Mass Effect had guns, as does every other cover-based shooter. With a melee focused game, cover-based anything would just flip the tone to something absolutely different. Imagine playing Dark Souls, and then you try to hide behind a wall and get plonked into a Gears Of War style shooter, where your only weapons are Swords and Shields. It just makes very little sense.

Kalo Kertesz Well, this game had bows and crossbows that behaved like WW2 rifles. They were hitscan(so no movement prediction or dropoff) and some bows had a fire rate rivaling a semi automatic weapon.

I swear that game had one, MAYBE two caves designed for the entire game. After all the interesting locals that Dragon Age: Origins took me though, it was the biggest slap in the face I've ever had in gaming. Even more than Fable 2 and 3.

The single player is by all means... Shit but if you do play co-op with a friend the game can be very enjoyable oddly, its one of those that really needs to be played co-op or its just worthless.Still, its tedious none the less but if you do ignore the plot and focus on gameplay its okish but the controls are quite nice and its most pleasing playing something new for a change where every enemy isnt made of butter but can actually be challenging

This was my experience with the game as well. We'd get some drinks in and just have a blast killing stuff, working through the enemies and taking nothing serious. It even made the one liners and dialogue funny when you stopped looking at it as a "serious" game and started thinking more on the "parody" side.

I absolutely do see the flaws in games. I'm not sure where you got that from. To elaborate on my intent with that comment, what I was trying to say was that Yahtzee's #1 priority when making videos like these is probably entertainment value rather than fidelity to his opinion of the game in question. I wouldn't use these videos as my sole source of opinion on video games.

I was using complainer descriptively and I'll admit that there are probably several better words that I could have used (critic and ranter were suggested) but it was the first one that came to mind. I don't think there's anything wrong with complaining. In fact, I think it's really funny. That's why I watch his videos in the first place. Yeah, I kind of agree, as I only recently picked the title up for about AUD$20. I kind of consider it "m'éh" material, as in there were a few glaring faults in the design, but I wasn't setting my standards for said game to the same lofty heights someone else might set for, say, an Eldar Scrolls game. Overall, there were a few glaring design issues, but as a time-waster and a good bit of fun, not bad.
