As someone who's played every Yakuza game released in the west aside from Dead Souls and Judgement, yes, there are guns in Yakuza games, but they're treated like every other weapon in that they have durability (or in guns' case, ammo) and once it runs out, you can't use it anymore (period if it's picked up off the ground, or until you get it repaired if it's one you have in your inventory), only in guns' case, the heavy attack button is used to shoot.

Hopefully Yakuza 5 gets localized so Yahtzee can review that one as well. From what I've seen, there's now a pop idol dance battle minigame. Can't wait to hear his opinion on that. If he thinks the story and gameplay in these games are two cards that are driving in two different direction, Yakuza 5's story and gameplay might as well be a car and a spaceship at the opposite ends of the earth; one moving toward the moon and one toward the sun It's still a good game though.

An idea I had that would be hilarious for this game is if the zombie showed up, tried to create more zombies... and everyone and their grannies just powerbombed and smashed it with bicycles and park benches until it manages to split into several zombies out of sheer frustration. And then it's not so much saving the citizens from the zombie hordes as it is racing everyone else to take them out first.

Actually, Red Dead Revolver was designed to be a western horror shooter where zombies would be the main enemy. It devolved into a western and it's successor Red Dead Redemption followed off it. UnDead Nightmare was simply Rockstar getting to utilize their original idea.

And it's an inevitable conclusion when making survival horror games. Once you get around to understanding what the enemy is (over the expanse of a series or in one game), they are typically no longer terrifying. Resident Evil is the best example: we know what makes zombies, and have strong characters who have experience in dealing with them. Only thing to do now is lock and load and kick ass.

Sorry bout jumpin on the bandwagon a little late, but yeah, he is exaggerating a bit. The two only real downsides are that the story is a little too short to be called it's own game and a bit "Okay, that just happened!", and the gun controls are a bit whiffy. Apart from that, it is pretty epic. I mean, you not only get to play as recurring badasses Akiyama and Kiryu, but like Ben said, you get to play as Goro Majima, who has appeared as a boss and key character in each Yakuza game, and you also play as the main antagonist of Yakuza 2, Ryuji Goda, who happens to have a Final Fantasy 7 Barrett styled gun arm.
