Shame about the weather as you have not seen Scotland at its best. I have stayed at the hotel on Loch Awe on a coach holiday & ok. The railway station just below it would be handy to get about. I visited the Ben Cruachan hydro electric station which was really interesting. Amazingly I had some of the best weather in 25 years for the week I was there! Sun every day. Good that you found some good overnight camp areas.

It has been great to see that you have enjoyed the beauty of my homeland that I left 44 years ago. Edinburgh has so many things to see and do here is a couple of them you could try. The Scott monument in Prince's street, you can climb to the top up narrow stairs climbing 287 steps to give you an amazing view at the top and the other is in Leith docks where you can go on board and tour round the royal yacht brittania. But the most important place is the castle so much to see an well worth the uphill climb. Try and give lt the time to take it all in. 😊👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Thoroughly enjoying your visit to Scotland having visited most of the places you have visited during our 7 visits , first for a family wedding staying in Aberdeen university, although your drone shots add another dimension. Enjoy Edinburgh last time we visited was during the Christmas market, also visited the Edinburgh tattoo in the castle. Must visit Hollyrood Park and Arthur’s seat. Sorry your food does nothing for me I am not a foodie but do love my meat and two veg and fries.
