Hello Singderellos
In this video I react for the first time to an eye-watering, soul shattering performance by a vocal genius called 'Tatiana' with her band JINJER singing 'Pisces'. In this video, I am watching this performance for the very first time and I analyse her performance and vocal technique.
For lessons, workshops and video submissions please check out my website www.thefairyvoicemother.com
I'm so excited to be a part of your singing journey, It's one that truly never ends.
Love you forever,
The Fairy Voice Mother x

Blimey i am just so filled with love. Thank u all so much for your kind, thoughtful, hilarious and generally delightful comments. I’m still super new to this and I just can’t believe my weirdo nerdyness I was once bullied for is now connecting me with people more wonderful than I could have hoped existed. (you). Just thank you so bloody much 💜 Also, there are lots of recurring suggestions I’m noticing. Good news is, I’ve not heard of any of the videos suggested so far so I’m so ready to watch them with you- wohoOoOoOoOo 💜 .p.s. Also, I’ve never actually screamed/ growled in public before this (this is in public, right?) and I feel so much more confident in my tone now thanks to the unexpected loveliness I’ve received about it 🥺💜 .p.p.s. I don’t know what a ‘girl crush’ is. I don’t think I have that I think I’m just full blown obsessed completely and utterly with Tatiana because she’s clearly an otherworldly goddess. You can’t have a mere crush on a goddess, it’s frankly insulting. Tatiana if you ever read this- I serve you. I love you. Aaaaand I love you too, Hugs from your FVM 💜 xo

I've seen probably EVERY vocal coach reaction whenever it comes to this song, and this has to be my absolute favorite reaction because not only did she basically have a spit take when Tatiana came in with her false cord screaming which was hilarious 😂 BUT she also knew exactly what was going on and exactly what Tatiana was doing and not only does she KNOW what shes5 doing, but I also had to back up about 10 different times to hear HER ACTUALLY START TO FALSE CHORD HERSELF!!! Because she can actually do it AND sound good! about 98% of vocal teacher is that react to the song first of all don't know that it's a false cord that she's doing, some even believe it's a fry and I always think that's hilarious. but most of them that do know it's a false chord can't even false cord themselves. So this makes me VERY happy to see and now she has to be my favorite person that has EVER reacted to this song! Plus I now have confidence in taking the vocal advice that she gives because this is the kind of music I personally sing. I would absolutely LOVE to get a lesson or 5 from her because I know a fair amount of technique but I just need some help to tighten things up.

She is not the only vocal coach that understands what's going on here and explains it correctly. Many try and talk about it immediately after saying that they don't know how she is doing it, and that infuriates me. Anyone listening to one of those coaches is going to end up causing damage. Fairy Voice Mother explains it without attempting to teach technique, but without putting misinformation out. Mary Z is one of the best at describing this technique and even goes into some discussion about how to do it. This, however, is one of the better descriptions by far for what is happening without telling people improper technique. Way to go Fairy Voice Mother!

Neh not really, I could be wrong but her growl was super breathy almost too breathy so it came out not the greatest. But of course Practice makes things better. @@Someguyy867 Little bit.. but she also did it no warm up, and just drops into it from a talking tone... no inhale, no relaxing.. just drop right in... @Someguyy867
@Someguyy867 3 жыл бұрын
@@AlanDike Even without a warm up it was alright at best. I’m not great at vocals I’ve been doing it for years but you don’t need to do it without warm ups although it’s better to do it with warm ups. Like obviously if she practiced it for sometime even every day for a straight month she could actually get it quite down really really good. But yes for someone with absolutely no fuckign experience and just knowing the basics she has done a lot better then most. You also don’t even need a Mic at all despite what anyone fucking says lol. The mic makes it sound better I guess but honestly even from a shitty phone you could pick up the sound of a good growl easily. And a lot of black metal bands which is very different vocal technique wise started out with ya know just shitty cam recorders or just shitty fucking phones and you can still hear the raw good vocals they can produce.

Not only was it surprisingly fun to watch a pro's reaction to greatness, but it introduced me to this band, which is also outside of my general wheelhouse of music taste. Tatiana's one take performance of Judgement and Punishment is a great vocal coach video, because you are watching her sing from a profile perspective. This is probably the best reaction video I've seen for Pisces yet and I've watched a ton of them. Thank you for taking the time to do this.

Like many who have commented on this video, I periodically search KZbin specifically for vocal coaches reacting to this song. Having watched probably 50 such videos, yours is one of my favorites for one simple reason. You're one of the very, very few who's able to replicate Tatiana's growl. The vast majority explain how she's doing it and follow up with, "I've never done it, haven't been trained to do it, and I'm not going to try it now because if I do it wrong I could injure myself." In fact, the only other reactor I can think of who's demonstrated the growl was a guy who primarily coaches rock singers. So, anyway, great job! Thanks!

I am now subscribed. You can sing, play multiple instruments, are goofy, and aren't judging harsher vocals at all. ACTUALLY giving us some real info and then... to top it all off you screamed better than ANYONE I've seen reacting to this (who isn't a metal vocalist already.) Please please keep doing metal genre's! EDIT: I see your pinned comment now and let me tell you; anyone who bullied you for who you are. Fuck 'em.

Wow you mad girl busting out the growl like it was nothing. This is the first reaction video I've seen where the person reacting actually knew what was going on. Not only that but you basically just flexed over everyone by casually dropping an actual example. You earned that upvote and subscribe less than 5 minutes into the video... If anyone is wondering I found this video because I was looking for a reaction video that I vaguely remembered from 2ish years ago. A commenter under that video suggested this channel for more information on the "growl". So I was expecting to find out some stuff but I was NOT prepared for the demonstration. Outstanding.

There are quite a lot of reactors who have heard something about screaming techniques, and some vocal coaches could correctly explain the underlying theory. @vaderguitarplayer

Right. Some have a rudimentary knowledge, but that does not mean they really get it. You have to be able to do it to truly understand the subtle differences. Example would be Devin Townsend's Live song everyone reacts to. I saw a vocal coach who thought he was doing inhales. No. No no no. Lol. If you are gonna be a vocal coach, you need to really know what you are talking about. Speculating is fine, but many of them speak as if it is fact when they are wrong. That alone makes me not want to watch their videos. They lose their credit when they talk out their behinds. Now, dome level of ignorance is fine, but this particular KZbinr was defending her position even when commenters were telling her to the contrary. Being a reactor is one thing, and being a coach is another. This vocal coach really does know things. Watch her Dimash video, you will see how much better a coach she is than almost all the others. She deserves to have her channel explode with subscribers.
