This is one of the most important rivalries in UFC history. It also has two of my favorite what ifs. What if the first fight was at 155lbs? What if Diaz finished McGregor in their second fight? In my opinion the second what if would have even more ramifications for both fighters and the UFC.

The Nate Diaz rivalry was the best thing to happen for Conor Mcgregor, not only for his star power but made him into a better fighter as he improved the areas he was weak in like his grappling, cardio and made him a more patient fighter as he would fight and slaughter Eddie Alvarez months later and become the double champ. Getting humbled can make people better themselves.

The First make shift presser in a UFC Gym was epic as fuck and lit the fire. Pre face off Conor antagonizes Nate’s whole team before a face off and then mid face off takes a shot at Nate BENCHES CLEAR and both teams rush the stage! Fight day Conor walks out to Biggie Nate walks out to Tupac and the rest is history it’s literally that fucking legendary.💯🙏

Will never forget their first fight, had turned 21 barely a month ago and went to twin peaks to watch this fight. Was definitely a casual ufc wouldn't even call myself a fan really watched maybe a handful of events and liked playing the video game with my friends but that was about it. Saw some of the lead up of this fight so got interested with friends so went to twin peaks to watch and man, after seeing what felt like 100's of TVs with Nate Diaz's bloody face flexing straight in the camera and people cheering and holding their heads in disbelief I knew in that moment I would always want more of that feeling. Huge fucking shout out to the warriors that give their all for me chasing that feeling again every Saturday (just not at twin peaks anymore lol)

In an Aldo rematch he'd lose against a more careful Aldo. People liked him for his charisma and flashy style, but that doesn't make a great or a GOAT contender. GSP is one of the greats. He can go all five rounds and be dangerous in each round.
