I think what's been happening a lot in the gaming community as a whole is a lack of nuance: people get angry if you're "too positive" or "too negative" and sometimes focus on one side, rather than seeing reviews as a whole. It's very strange to always love everything or hate everything. Most live in the gray area. I always agree there's a lot of collective thinking that happens. I honestly enjoy reviews that sometimes disagree with me, because it allows me to learn and is frankly more interesting.

I personally think that in general most people are too negative/critical when it comes to entertainment in general. This is due to us just being oversaturated with games, streaming services, movies, music, etc. All at our fingertips whenever we want it. So now, everyone has to rate something as soon as it's finished. "What yall rate the watch party", "What yall rate the superbowl performance", "What yall rate the game I just beat". It's getting ridiculous and I see it amongst you but not exclusively you. And I think there's a growing group of people that are getting tired of it and now they calling everything "negative" out.
