Welcome to Mystara: Castle Caldwell

One of the least liked modules until you realize it was meant for kids. Five short adventures that can be plugged in anywhere, but aren't very challenging to most parties. Has numerous issues with the formatting and fonts which can distract from reading it. If you play it with your kids, it will keep them entertained, but doesn't offer a lot to older gamers.
I know the video cuts off the last few seconds, but I've reloaded the audio several times and it just won't play. Something about beholders and pocket sand. Was funny when I thought of it.

Jonathan Luoto extremely vulnerable to pocket sand. I don't know why it wouldn't play the last second of that video I reloaded the sound several times. The audiophile is intact I checked that but the video files would not play it

looking over clearing Castle Caldwell i found it could actually work much better as a Gamaworld module - the wierd layout and lack of an upper floor can be explained as the site of a Bunker/shelter, with the lower levels an unfinished portion, not inahabited by irradiated monsters.

I'm thinking it's a 'castle' bought by a wealthy but a bit dumb trader from elsewhere for exorbitant price, while it actually is just a villa with turrets for show :D

Hate to say it, but at these prices I may be tempted to liquidate my handful of basic modules. But you'll have to pry my Rules Cyclopedia from my cold dead hands.

aspektx they've actually reprinted the rules cyclopedia so the value of those have gone through the floor. You can pick up a cyclopedia on drive thru RPG for $40 hardback.

I played the Elwyn adventure with a few of my old friends recently. We are reliving our BECMI days in Mystara now using PF2. I modified the adventure a bit and the characters had a fight on their hands. It was actually really decent. The players didn't realize that the evil cleric was Elwyn until after they killed her.

Goddamn. This is the module I decided to start my D&D campaign for my old friends 😅 well, reasons were 'I remember this from when I was a kid' and 'the maps are simple in the Castle Caldwell so I can make those as tiles easy enough' 🤣 well, I did want a one-nighter as well, and I'm planning on continuing with Castle Mistamere and have that evolve into a deeper delve.

For whatever reason what I was making this I was having serious issues with matching the audio file and the video program. A patch sorted it out but I could not get this to capture the very last line of dialogue no matter how many times I reapplied and how much extra time I gave it
