Command: Modern Operations is the next generation in cross-domain modern wargaming. It enables you to simulate every military engagement from post World War II to the present day and beyond. The scale is primarily tactical/operational, although strategic scale operations are also possible.

Hey mate, love your channel (my fav). Couple of pointers for CMO, these UAVs you have in the air have sensors that can’t see through clouds, so you might want to think about adjusting alt? Also, a good way to tell the range of enemy munitions is to look at the range circles that are displayed around them, in the case of the mig29s, they have a pink ring indicating their air to air range :)

The aim 120 is a fire and forget, but if you lose radar lock before the missile goes active (I think 10 miles) the missile goes active on its own. This will beam the enemy aircraft with radiation, thus alerting their RWR that a missile is tracking them. If possible, it’s best to keep guiding the missile with your aircraft radar until the missile goes active. This way the enemy has little time to react to the RWR notification, and your chances of a kill are much higher. Its actually really neat that the AI employs these tactics on its own.

The first set of AMRAAMs missed because you fired at max range. Air to Air missiles have reduced effectiveness at max range, I suggest you change the WRA to a little less than max if you want a garanteed hit. Also the reason why your UAVs could detect any targets is because sthey were flying above clouds. You have to check the height of the clouds and set your UAV altitude to be below the cloud layer. That allows them to visually see targets.

It's already the case. Of course land combat have more limitations and are less details than air/naval but they definitely are implemented ! Infantry, arty, tanks, etc are now part of the sim.

Those Mobile bases you destroyed where Akash SAM System. They are mounted and mobile so that's why showed up with MOBILE designation. Also probably they are there in anti helicopter role considering there are MBTs present in formation with them. Wiki Link: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akash_(missile)

I’m not a super knowledgeable player and I still felt able to tinker and get stuff going with just a few hours or trial and error… the BIG battles however, those are beyond me, but smaller stuff like this seems manageable.

PAF wouldn't send their ECM and AW&C assets without cover. Also, those F-16s were executing perfect notch maneuver after firing fox 3. They can run away once the missile have mid range update.

why are my s400 disappearing in mid flight? Syrian SA-3 and SA-5 follow their targets until endgame, while S-400 just disappear from the map at 50-60% of their trajectory, with no message in the logs

This “boring” game is probably one of the most realistic simulators you can find… the professional version of this is used by the likes of USAF and BAE. If you want action visuals and sounds then buy a game not a simulator

A good game if your occupation is in air traffic control, I suppose, but unless you can jump in and physically fly and control any of the aircraft, I think this game will get old pretty rapidly. A bit too dry for my tastes.

The sim is not about flying an aircraft. You have tons of flight sims for that. CMO is about planning, organising, managing your attack using all the assets at your disposal (air/land/naval) and all the sensors. For that you need a thorough knowledge of all the military hardware, strengths and limitations. You are the Commander, not the pilot. It's complex and fascinating ! The gratest combat simulator of all times. I love it.
