Panthers in 5, Boston rode the adrenaline from the Toronto series through game 1, but now it's just pure hockey, and Florida is clearly the far superior team. Florida vs NYR is gonna be fantastic

Marchand got a right hook to the face (concussion) with Bennett's stick hand. Look closely at the replay. It was very skillfully done and took me 3x watching the replay to see it. Marchand himself couldn't have done it better.

Marchand leaned into Barkov at the first puck drop and challenged him to fight. No one knows what Barky said, but you can see him shake it off. Later Marchand was leaning into Bennett and found out after screwing around. I'm pretty sure Bennett was saying, " There's your answer about fighting." Big mistake by Marchand. Bennett flattened him into the boards. Bye bye rat!

GO watch some of the highlights from the game. Watch the Fla forecheck and the middle zone play. the effect of the puck control causes the forward to act in unison fashion almost choreographed fashion and in sync with each other causing maximum pressure on the other team to defend not 1 but 2 or even 3 players coming at them all the time. Boston is having max difficulty keeping up. I never thought I would see this in this fashion. It's beautiful to watch just from a hockey standpoint. Its better when Fla is shellacking Boston, but that goes without saying.

I've been impressed with how dominant the FO work is from FLA. Simply impressive. This game was better, much closer, but it wasn't close when it mattered.

They are bigger and tougher than the leaf forwards. They win the puck battles in the corners then swarm the net. Leafs trade tough forwards, Hyman and Bunting. Those type of players are key. Bennet and Rienhart are tough to play against.

While I'm not completely ready to write a post mortem for the Bruins, as a long time fan of this team I want to remind all Bruins fans what this season was all about. Macro level this has been a successful year, regardless of this series. Any time you can go into a season, having lost 10 regular starters (including 3 starting centers), develop a number of young & exciting players and still be a top team in the league and be a player in the playoffs......knock knock knock.........that's OK. Yes I know it's not a CUP but this team was never really built to be a CUP contender. Let's see how the rest of the series plays out. This wont be as heart breaking as last year no matter what. I'm excited for the summer of 2024 & the expanded cap room and excited to see how our youngsters grow from year 1 to 2.

They haven't had many chances to meet in the playoffs because Florida barely makes the playoffs. For years Boston has dominated them in the regular season at this point Florida has only been in Boston two times in the playoffs. The series is only 2 to 1.

The Panthers are MADE for the playoffs, they just didn't haven't put it all together to get a cup in the past few years and they've had their demons with Tampa. I think the bruins will find a way to push this to 7 games. Who wins, idk? Overall I think this bruins team is soft and lacks chemistry. I personally think getting to this point in the playoffs is an over achievement for them without having a real core group and leadership. Marchand is aging out and becoming more injury prone, pasta is too soft for the playoffs and disappears. He doesn't have that krejci magic, or a young lucic at the wing lol. McAvoy burns himself out through the regular season and hasn't really shown to be the defenseman he was expected to be. If the bruins get anywhere from this point on its all thanks to Jay Sway

Wouldn't change much as thee Bs would still lose but that call plus the ref giving their body to protect Tkachuk (from Pastrnak, no less, never seen a ref jump on a player to shield them) seems questionable.

I'd lean towards it; Ullmark has a better record against FLA and I think the team broadly needs a shakeup. But Swayman isn't the reason we're losing this series. Poor giveaways in the first 110 ft of the ice is what's killing us.

Not even a second guess; start Ullmark. The team needs a "spark" and that often happens when a new goalie comes in. This series is not completely Sway's fault---he was putting up historic numbers before last night and he cannot help the anemic shots on goal---but we are in desperation mode at this point. Double so if Marchand is sidelined.
