After a wonderful break for Christmas, we are back and ready to go! We’re jumping in with breaking down and processing our steer, and then wrapping up the day with finally tasting our 2 year old home-cured prosciutto and feasting on our New Years snack dinner.

That was an impressive feast and everything looked delicious. Great job to Brett for his attention to detail laying things out. Very glad to see you all enjoying your New Year's traditions, especially as the twins get older. It will seem like just the blink of an eye and they will be grown and out of the house. Looking forward to watching all that unfolds on the Hollar Homestead in 2024!

What a great feeling of accomplishment, knowing that you raised your animals and are now about to eat them in a New Year’s Eve meal. Also, what wonderful lessons your children are learning as to how to prepare your meat. I thought I saw Corbin’s hands in there slicing away. I’m so happy for all of you and wish you many blessings for the coming year.🙏🏻🎉

Happy New Year Hollar Family! My family is from Germany, and plates laid out with different cheeses and sausages/waurts, etc. Accompanied by a few different kinds of breads alongside some simple salads/chutneys was called dinner. We would often stand at the kitchen island with various of the above-mentioned faire and call that dinner too. Tables can be so formal lol

It is incredible, the EDUCATION your CHILDREN are getting by living on your farm, LEARNING from both of YOU. YOU have so much to offer on so many subjects, including running home businesses. Your children are RICHLY BLESSED from your decision to LIVE like this! ❤ The Lord Bless each of you, your marriage, your relationships, your health and the health of your animals. 🙏❤️🥳🎉 Happy New Year!

Man my mouth is watering... Good job guys. I remember those mornings as a child standing by the burn barrow sharpener knives waiting for the water to get hot enough to scald the hogs in. My dad cured his own hams. My mom and my grandma would cook out the lard, every door knob in the house would be greasy. Good to see you keeping the old way of doing things.

Your charcuterie board was absolutely beautiful! We have snack food dinners about once a month at our house, including New Year's Eve - fondly known as junk food night. Not much junk food involved, though, but the kids always thought they were having something forbidden, so those dinners seemed really special to them. Now that they're mostly all teens, they know the food is healthier than standard junk food, but they still seem to look forward to them and ask when the next one will be. We usually have some combination of pigs in a blanket, fish sticks, chicken nuggets, steamed shrimp, fries, fruit and yogurt salad, cranberry sauce, cheese and crackers, sheet pan chicken nachos, veggie plate with dip, various nuts, sometimes a bowl of M&Ms, root beer floats, brownies, cookies. I wish you the absolute best 2024, and look forward to your upcoming videos! Bless you all!
