You missed that the Grinderfist is "Any" movement phase. You can deepstrike on your opponents turn and use a command to shoot or charge. Or put behind a screen and catch your opponent off guard a bunch. Definitely pretty neat.

Great catch, I also missed the "Any Movement Phase" part of that ability. A block of 6 could pop up with 2 warpflamers and a ratling gun within 9 inches of an enemy target, and then do the Covering Fire command. -1 to hit, but that's still 4D6 flamer attacks hitting on 3s, and 3d6 ratlings on 5s.

Rob, read the warscroll... only 1/3 of the Rat Ogors get the flamer (must be push-fit models)

We finally got beautiful new rat Ogors... And their warscroll is much worse! I think having an ability that has a chance to almost kill a model from the unit in exchange for an extra attack each is pants too. 1MW for D3 extra attacks would have changed everything and made them genuinely strong.

I did a demo yesterday and between the cannon and jezzails we wiped the Reclusians off the board before they did anything. However, the Grey Seer has gone down from 2 casts in 3rd to just 1. Disappointing but I wonder if you choose masterclan "subfaction", they get boosted up to 2 again.

SCE Lord Arcanum went from 2 casts in AoS 2, to 1 cast in AoS 3, to 0 cast in AoS 4 --- they were squatted ... My seething aside, my guess is they will make the +1 number of spell casts to a Heroic Trait or Artifact

I’m a little sad that the Warpfire projectors on the stormfiends got a nerf to no longer doing mortals on a 4+. It seems they are trying to remove a lot of mortal wounds on weapons which makes me a little worried about the killing power we are going to have against heavy armored foes outside of the law of large numbers. Other than that I love the way the Skaven are looking because I’ll be able to keep my crazy hordes of dudes around a lot longer because of a lack of running away

Seeing stormcast and skaven with so much recursion makes me hope soulblight along with the kther death armies do it better at the very least. Kind of our best gimmick (in soulblight at least)

Looking at the recursion rules I'm actually more tempted to run MSU Stormfiends, you get 2 back vs 3 back on a 6 man, and the 2x3 are able to control different parts of the board rather than building around a deathstar. Obviously makes all out attack less impactful, and I'm thinking a 6man of Rogors is probably best to be a real melee threat, but I'm excited to test it all out!

Just a note there is no all out attack for shooting anymore it's only available in melee.

I'm not sure if that's actually correct. The all-out attack ability specifies it's usable for attacks as made as part of an "attack" ability; both the shoot and fight abilities have the attack keyword.

@@knichol12 all of the abilities are colour coded so you know what phase they can be used, if you look at the all out attack ability it's in a red box which means it's used in the combat phase, there isn't a blue version for shooting phase.

Skaven lets go! Honestly they are skaven so rules im not too worried about. Just seems like usual suspects are good out the bat again. Although cant wait to see what comes out for moulder and eshin.

Looks like most things lost a pip on their wound rolls on melee. Even the clawlord hits on 3, wounds on 4. Yet the critical hits will give some auto wounds. But only for some units. Odd that wither is just another D3 damage spelll, but unsure what the "unlimited" keyword will mean in the end. Seems, so far that the Skryre is going to need to do the heavy lifting. Very curious whether or not stormvermin will be any good in this version. Seems Skaven may be leaning harder into the big guns over all, but haven't seen Pestilens or Eshin yet.

I did not notice a "once per turn" limitation on Gnawhole's Tunnels Through Reality. Can unlimited numbers of units pour through them when tunneling through reality?
