This channel should do a show about living in Japan during the samurai and lords era. Seriously, to me, living in those days was beyond terrifying than any other time I learned from or heard in History (besides the French Revolution). With lords fighting each others like every day. All one can think about is when their village or city who is already suffering and dying from starvation, poverty, diseases, frequent vandalism from rivals families and thief, will be the victims of another conflict or wars between lords. Not to mention take-over from one lord to the next. Many people just lived to die next day, withness someone dear to then getting killed, taken away, being seriously hurt as punishment if not dissable for life or dying due to starvation and diseases. Seriously, what a worrisome time to live.

I mean, they get a lot of things wrong but okay. Check out their recent video on Ted Bundy for example they got so many things blatantly wrong. It's amazing people think the infographics show are the end all be all of knowledge. They're really just people with opinions and still get things wrong. They even made a Jesus video presenting their religious belief as a fact. Infographics is subjective not objective. They're just people who get many things wrong.

This same logic should also be applied to how bad COVID is. It's terrible but it's not the worst thing we've ever dealt with. I think the issue is just how invisible it is. You don't know who has it until it's too late. Not being able to see who has it and who doesn't creates a paranoia and then it's a toss up on whether or not it hospitalizes/kills you. Most people see it as like a 50/50 kind of ordeal since death seems to be random.

2020 was the most peaceful year I've ever experienced, I was able to work on my education by myself at the beginning of the year, I didn't have to pack for any vacations and could play games instead and then sleep. 5 stars, would recommend to a nearby timeline. Edit: This is a joke, I'm well aware how tragic it is, there are far more downsides than the few upsides my joke listed, I didn't mean to offend or bother anyone who has lost someone during that year.

Like a minor sickness that's easily curable within a week these days was a death sentence one or two hundred years ago, normal people are eating better than pretty much any king of the past, people are overall less supersticious than back then aswell... Overall there's little reason to think that humanity will be off worse in the future than now or in the past.

There was an old tv show called "i've got a secret" (1956), where one of the guest is samuel j. Seymour, who was born in 1860 and witnessed lincoln's assasination. The footage can be found on youtube. Crazy to imagine the events that unfolded in the world during the period he lived in- civil war, ww1, spanish flu, ww2. 2020 was just hard because we all had to change up our lives overnight. Although that in and of itself makes 2020 worse than now, when you consider how great we are at adapting quick as a species, it’s not that bad. It’s adapting slowly thats our downfall. We’re quick on our feet, but having to plan out our future and live through the changes slowly is what we’re bad at, and a lot has changed in 2021, but at a way slower pace than 2020.
