In Latin America, it is way too common to name your kid José or María as a 1st name. Because it’s so common, people usually refer to their middle name, 1st & middle name combined, or nickname instead, making their 1st name useless. At work, I know guys named Mario, Luis, Julio, Trinidad & Guadalupe, and it turns out that all of those guys are going by their middle name, because their 1st name is actually José. Even my brother in law goes by Tito and his name is also José. Tito’s step daughter goes by Fernanda which is her middle name, but her 1st name is María. Why would you give a kid a 1st name that most people have and you have no intention of using? It’s dumbfounding.

Recently picked up mindhunter. One of the first serial killers John Douglas spoke to was Charles Davis Jr, he was an ambulance driver who would strangle women, then make an anonymous call to confess, he would proceed to respond to the call in his ambulance putting his own victim on the stretcher. There’s very little information about him in the internet.

Most of these are far from unknown serial killers if anyone is moderately into this subject.

John Norman Collins actually lived in Ypsilanti Michigan which basically merged into Ann Arbor their downtowns are 10-15 mins apart from each other. He was a student at Eastern Michigan University while he was committing the murders and lives in Goddard Hall, which is now closed due to asbestos, but sometimes a light turns on in the window and people say it’s his, or one of his victims, ghosts. One of his victims was a sorority member at EMU. (Source: am a student at EMU)

Taunting the executioner before your own death sentence is passed it either the hardest thing of all time or proof of insanity
@michaelpettersson49193 жыл бұрын
At that stage it cannot really get worse anyway thou. Except perhaps if the executioner retaliate by shortening the rope so there is no neck snap but slow suffocation instead.

Perfect. Be civil and respectful. I actually have to tell that to people a lot. That should be a lifelong guide.

They made a movie about the Alaskan serial killer Robert Hansen. I think it was called Frozen Ground with Nicolas Cage, John Cusack, and Vanessa Hudgens was in it. Was a decent movie and made you hear the story from Sydneys point of view.

My mom was working at a photo processing place in MI when the co-ed killer was active. She developed some of the crime scene photos. Police told she couldn't tell anybody about them at the time.

The Pickton case is one of the worst I have heard of. This video mentions him but the details of that case are far far more gruesome and disturbing, almost unimaginable savagery.

Basically almost every single serial killer that there has ever been has been a debt collector ('hit man') for La Cosa Nostra that they thought they could control but couldn't. You're the best as always 'Infographics'. Oh yeah and by the way that includes the 'medical professionals'.

Great vid. You should look into another brutal serial killer who is as prolific as a the Monster of the Andes: Luis Garavito
@fabyliciousss91963 жыл бұрын
Garavito is not the Monter of the Andes (that’s Pedro López), his nicknames are The Monster of Genova, Tribilín (Goofy) and The Beast.
