For a while now, I've had this idea for a reality TV show where contestants take on twelve challenges based off of Heracles' labors. Think about it: Modern day reinterpretations of the labors of Heracles where contestants prove their strength, resourcefulness and vigor. Call it "Legendary labors". Can you go the distance and achieve mythical glory?

Honestly the Hercules and Tarzan series deserve so much love. They were amazing back in the day and even rewatching some of the episodes now, a majority of them still hold up and don’t really feel like it’s meant for kids. As Jon Solo put it, “90s Disney was so punk rock”. Also anyone else questioned why Hercules death was so painful? Was Nesuss working for Hera? Because dude was much more of one of the nicer figures in Greek Mythology and he was roasted alive- in every way and feeling possible.
@toniyami
@toniyami Жыл бұрын
Nah Nesuss just wanted revenge on Heracles for slaughtering his centaur brethren. He played the long game and wanted Heracles to suffer as much as the centaurs did. So he manipulated Heracles into shooting him with the hydra's blood poisoned arrow then manipulated his wife into putting his now poisoned blood on Heracles's clothes.

@@AwesomeMusicLady I did like both the Aladdin and Little Mermaid series, but Disney did that since Aladdin and Little Mermaid were their highest grossing movies at the time so they were riding the wave of their popularity. I like the 4th minor, the Freeing of Prometheous the most. That mad did a lot for humans and deserved a second chance. It also has a tie to turn best Centaur Chiron ( it sucks he passes but his legacy lives on.) I don't know there is something so redeeming about this minor labor. Side note: maybe I am mistaken, but has Jon ever talked about any lady centaurs? As a whole centaurs always get a bad rap and the stories are usually male dominated.

@@LaCrownedGamer Most mythical beings in Ancient Greek mythology were gender-locked. Satyrs were always male. Nymphs were always female. The Muses were all female. Hermaphrodites, the children of Hermes and Aphrodite were both genders at all times. Centaurs, much like Satyrs, were all male. No such thing as a female centaur. Wasn't depicted on any pottery, wasn't talked about in any stories, wasn't mentioned anywhere. Just like the female satyr or the male nymph, it just did not exist. Yours truly, a Greek.
