You can actually achieve the SAME thing in a single pan, without boiling them separately... When I discovered this it blew my mind! Heat oil and/or ghee in a pan, toss in cut potatoes and seasonings, toss to coat potatoes, add water to ALMOST COMPLETELY cover potatoes, cook on medium to medium high UNCOVERED until water boils off and the bottoms get browned and crispy... then toss and/or stir until the other sides are how you like them... SIMPLE AND PERFECT EVERY TIME!
@maggiegoossens1894 Жыл бұрын
That is how I have been frying potatoes for YEARS! I never boil them anymore unless for mash. They are sooooooooo much healthier and DELICIOUS! 👍👍👍 But now that I read it again, I have to add that I hardly use ANY water, just a little drop only when I had the heat too high and they tended to burn. It’s important to keep a lid on and to find the right temperature: low to medium low. They are so crispy andndelicious, like fries but without the tons of oil. And I only use homemade ghee for pan frying. 😋

a little tip to cheat out of boiling the potatoes is to microwave them whole just as u would a baked potato and let them cool enough to get starchy and firm. the starch helps them brown, none of the nutrients are lost and prep can be done ahead and stored in fridge until ready to use!
