Hi Claire. What potting medium is your Hoya Sarawak in? Yours looks fantastic. I have a very young rooted cutting and want to give it the best start. Thank you ❤🪴

Hello Claire. I’m new to your channel and I can’t stop watching. Im in love with your collection. Beautiful!! I bought my first hoya 2 years ago, in the last month it started dying, loosing leaves and browning vines. My guess, over watered. I’m think of taking it out of the pot and letting the roots expose to air for about a week for it to dry. Is that a smart thing to do?

I have some hoya cuttings that have rooted well in water and also a single leaf that I put in a small cup of water and it also has rooted. Can these just be left in the water instead of planting them in soil? I know some plants grow well in water. I have different types of plants that I've grown in water for years and they're doing fine but I wasn't sure about hoyas. So can I just leave them to grow in the water or will that eventually harm them? Thanks for posting the video!

Pretty sure the roots grow stronger and bigger in soil, therefore the whole plant..that's the main difference

Love all my Hoyas… I’ve also found the most successful way to propagate them is in sphagnum moss.

Same here, it's always given me the highest success rate!

Hi Claire. Great video - thank you. However, what should I do about discolouration ? Why is this happening?

When using a grow light full year, does it mimic like spring/summer all year and therefore need fertilizing the way you would in those seasons?

Hi, I have a hoya, and it is after getting very big. Can I split it into two plants, or should I just prune it back? It's quiet mature, and is about 4ft in lenght, so I'd prefer to split it. What do you think?

I let my compacta go too long without water and the leaves are all wrinkly 😔 I tried watering it regularly, no change and next watering I used diluted peroxide thinking that would help but also no change. I know they hate their roots being messed with but it seems like my only option now is to unpot, clip rot if there is any, and repot :( is they wrong or is there anything else I can do?

I have two boys plants that have never bloomed. Each one is in a six inch pot. They keep growing like a vine but not very bushy. Are they in too small of a pot, would love to see them bloom. Any tips on this? Thank you.
@TheJungleHaven2 жыл бұрын
I've heard recently that skipping the first water at the beginning of growing season is a good way to encourage blooming as hoya also commonly flower when stressed! I've not deliberately done that, but times where I've forgotten to water now and again has definitely helped produced some blooms (assuming all other conditions are stable) if that makes sense 💚

The purpose of removing the bottom leaves, for most propagation, is to conserve energy to go towards root development

came to hunt for a vid on how to get mine to bloom hopefully. I got my croton plant to bloom and dunno how I managed. it's like 7 leaves and inside on a shelf but now that I managed that I have to hunt for how to get other types of plants to bloom as well lol

My son's blooms all the time. The starter came from my plant. Mine had never bloomed. The only difference is he used water from his fish tank and has a lot bright light. After about 15 years mine finally bloomed last fall. The only thing I did was I started using the water from my boiled eggs!!! Now my orchids look better too from the egg water.

It’s confusing to give non direct filtered light but then also right under grow lights…. Idk I’ve not been successful so far

I love Hoyas, but why are they so expensive????
@TheJungleHaven2 жыл бұрын
There's been a big price drop in lots of more "common" Hoya varieties recently where I'm from, but some of the rarer ones are still quite expensive just because they're not so easy to get hold of yet, they can be quite difficult to propagate, they're relatively slow growing and they require quite specific conditions to keep them happy 💚
