I personally found a lot of studies that cover multiple topics as they are outside the syllabus - cutting the count down to about 26 for the entirety of SL paper 1

No, they are essays only. Pg 13 of the guide: "The extensions to the core approaches are studied at HL only....this differentiation is reflected in paper 1 section B of the external assessment."

I don't know if your gonna respond to this but I'm kind of confused on what questions i have to answer. I take HL psychology and I'm in grade 11 i have the grade 11 exams soon and I know I have to answer 3 SAQ's but I'm confused on the erq's do I have to answer the HL extension question? or can I chose one of the other options, or is their a separate question?

Hi! For biological level HL extension, if students are asked a question about ethical considerations in animal studies can they use any 2 animal studies and discuss ethical considerations for those? I.e. studies that they’d prepared for brain and behavior or genes or hormones/pheromones?

Yes, if it doesnt state a particular topic then they could use animal studies relevant to any of them.
