Jealous. We had a few metal bands at our high school, but there was never any metal played over the intercom. I think if that happened there would've be pandemonium. There was an infamous "moshing incident" in the halls, library, and lunchroom that got all forms of moshing (and effectively metal music) banned at our school.

I only ever saw Pantera once, when I was four. I sat on my dad's shoulders and saw them in a lineup with Marilyn Manson, Powerman 5000, Machine Head, Fear Factory, and Black Sabbath's reunion. To this day, no concert will ever compare with it. It's one of the few memories from around that time that latched on to me because I sincerely felt my teeth chattering from the noise and we were probably fifteen rows back. I still have the drumskin my dad caught from Vinnie Paul that night, too.

Crowd surfing and mosh pits aren't as scary as they look. I've ended up on the edge of a mosh pit a few times (they just happened to form right in front of me) and I've only ever seen like minded people having a good time. If they stumbled into me (small female) while moshing, I'd just push them back in as best I could; no harm, no foul.
