Never underestimate the joy you can bring to people who can’t do these trips themselves. The views may not be as high as a bike review, but those are a mix of people following you and those who are interested in the bike being reviewed. For me, these videos are the best, full stop. The banter between you and Carol only makes them better. As you said, you don’t need to go too far to find these beautiful routes. More British and European trips might be the way forward, rather than an expensive far flung ones. Thank you.

@21:54 that is a great pan of a view. I actually love the touring videos. It gives me ideas and focuses my thinking on planning and priorities. I love the eye candy of shots like this. I like following your route on a map to better orient myself and look up some history as well. It's been too long since I've been to Europe and would love to go back and make the most of my time there. Too many of us Americans do not understand or appreciate the history, simple differences in lighting and topology, the multitude and depth of civilization in architecture alone, etc. Too many barely leave their own state, let alone, the country. Some touring videos just zip through areas. By their standards, I've technically been to Greece with a 2 hour airport layover in Athens once, which is meaningless to me. You and Carol stop and smell the roses, so to speak. And that is much appreciated.

You asked for constructive comments. As we did a similar holiday in the car in July, really interested in the route you took. My suggestion is to make the road / journey footage a bit more punchy. Highlights with music perhaps. I guess the question to answer is “where might you like to ride or stay if you did something similar” so focusing on the best towns and a map of the route would be good. But really enjoying It as we have loved Provence after years of doing Spain.

As you know, Andy, I have been following your videos for many many years. This is a perfect one because what we all want is to follow along with Andy and Carol on their travels because with nice people make videos and show us incredible things people want to see them. That's really the thing about watching you is that you come across as the genuine nice person you are and that means more to us in this era of dissension and aggravation especially here in the United States. Thank you for being you and my wife years ago spent more than 150,000 mi as the pillion on our travels. I have a 22 gold wing tour DCT partly because you have one. I was lucky enough to be on some travels from Zurich to Rome last year but that was in a car with Carol also my wife's name and friends not the same as being on a bike but it was a wonderful time. Please excuse the lengthy nature of this message but I wanted you to know how much your travels and videos mean to us here in Florida as well as those all over the world. Safe travels and the very best to you and Carol and your entire family

@TheMissendenFlyer you know I was wondering if she had the more traditional spelling. I do apologize for misspelling it in all these replies all these years. The effusive praise is in understatement. Her family is not from the country and if people use her first and middle name she gets as aggravated as your Carole when her name is misspelled

Personally I really enjoy your Mr & Mrs tour videos, particularly for the mix of on / off bike stuff, the food and so on. I like that your tours are about enjoying the whole experience and not just covering maximum mileage at maximum speed. Carol is a great sparring partner and it would be interesting to hear what she has to say while riding, being the pillion she probably sees more/different things and she makes the whole thing more relaxed and fun. Bike reviews are great, and you are always my first stop for an honest opinion on a particular bike that I’m interested in because we have a very similar attitude to bikes and riding, but the touring stuff is what I’m really here for. Being perched on a Scottish island and tied to a normal(ish) job I don’t have much opportunity for lengthy trips but your trips are very inspiring for when the chance comes.

Yet again, another tour that just keeps getting better each episode. I personally don't have any problem with the views through your screen when raised, I don't even notice it in fact. I wouldn't change anything about these tour videos, I think you have it just about spot on, with on bike/off bike and stop off's, it makes me feel almost like I'm there. I used to do a similar thing to this 'winging it' tour. I would have an area I wanted to arrive at then would look for a hotel once there. I would tour in May/June September/October time, and my main requirement was secure parking for my bike. Made easy as I toured mainly alone, so I could see and do what I wanted. They normally included meeting up with friends who have moved abroad too.

Since you asked for feedback. I love these videos, loving the tour of all of these towns and sights. Please keep making them and keep including Mrs. Flyer in them since her participation enhances the content. For improvement - you should know what you are talking about - Route Napoleon and Briançon - a short bit of knowledge would help us enjoy it more. Since you have almost two months since you recorded the video, you could add in some info or graphics in post. Also, you could allow some quiet in your content - yes the vistas are beautiful and spectacular - but you don't need to say it so often, let us soak it all in! BUT if you don't appreciate any of my suggestions, please keep making these videos! Thanks, John

Love the tour series. Especially those in places that are distant from me. Wife and I will be in London and Paris in January but that does not involve two wheels so I'll gladly see Europe and others from your perspective!

Talk and ride is pretty good. Sometimes quite and ride is good. At least you are riding with the camera pointed forward showing the ride. Many haven't caught on to that concept and want to park beside the road and show their face while they talk in front of beautiful scenery you can't see. Pitiful. No shortage of white vans. The muted bike engine sound is good. Has a rumble in the background. Not bad and not distracting. The auto shift seems to work just wonderful. Smooth. Good looking lunch with an acceptable cold one. Cheers to that. I can't consume alcohol because of meds and I don't drink ride anyway. Heck of a valley/mtn. view. Room looks like my home. All wood. Very good 5832. Enjoying the ride along. All good from east Kentucky USA

For me I completely enjoy the tour videos, especially when they’re put out over winter when we can both dream and plan ahead, more so than reviews when I’ll only watch if have a particular interest with the bike being reviewed.

Perfect accompaniment to a lazy Saturday morning breakfast! I know I bang on but the Wing's engine must be the smoothest motorcycle engine ever made, it sounds so relaxed no matter the gradient or load! Really enjoying the trip so far, thanks for sharing it with us!

Another thoroughly entertaining " Winging it" Tour video , on the content side I think you have got the mix just right with enough, road, scenery, town/village, restaurant ,hotel commentary and of course Mrs Flyers input to keep it all interesting, now looking forward to next Saturday's episode.

I’m loving this tour series! I’ve done quite a bit of Alpine touring and this series reminds me that I’ve only scribed a very narrow line through this spectacular region and there is so much more to explore. I think your mix of 60% road, 30% town and 10% off bike is spot on 👍

To the tours. We love watching them. Vicariously traveling around seeing the sights. Bike reviews are good and interesting but if your not in the market... Tours, doesent matter what you have you can still do the tour. Is my view anyway. Particularly like Mrs Flyers perspective as that means both of us can relate which means more enjoyable. So in short and being selfish the views dont worry me so keep the tours coming. LOL

Hi Andy, i like your tour videos, but some more than others. I thought about why that was, and why Noraly's videos are so watchable. I think the answer for me is that giving some information about the people, places, customs, history, makes it more interesting, in Noraly's case, the crappy roads, potential for things going wrong also adds the jeopardy factor. I loved your Japan tour, and that was largely because of the cultural differences, as well as the scenery, to say nothing of your love of bridges!😁 Btw, the more Carole is included in the video, her opinions and banter with you, the better the video is, as far as im concerned. Anyway, thanks for all your content.
