I love its features not only can hear relaxing music but also can watching movies or hearing songs on youtube while we doing home work. The best part is...this can be as our alarm clock also reminder so that we always be reminded before going to workplace. Cant wait to trying it!

Regarding the understanding with loud music. I noticed that "OK Google" is easier to recognize for the device than "Hey Google". Maybe this can be a help for some guys. Anyways for me personally the biggest deal is that switch on the camera. It really feels like the makers listened to what people want and not just did their own thing.

Definitely can see how this would be useful in a kitchen setting, we're always cooking in my house and when we use our phones to look up recipes I always have to change my screen timeout settings or wake my phone back up when we need to move on to the next step. Definitely perfect. I upgraded my Home mini to this, and everything has just been easier. I mean, Google Assistant with a screen = can't ask for more. And they are working on making it compatible with multi-room audio, so the home mini that I bought can also be put to good use once it's updated.

Casting is the key. Think MLB baseball. Think the Le Tour de France, or the La Vuelta. Think of other sources of information. But this is exciting for the kitchen and other rooms. No more moving the laptop so that one can watch, ask questions, etc. while cooking, reading, etc.

This sounds like a great product. We already own a few smart devices and love them. I love the idea of the screen. I'd love to use it for watching youtube, playing music, for video phone calls and also for recipes while cooking in the kitchen.

I am very excited about the Smart Displays that have come out so far. I would want to use it in the living room but the one feature I would love is KZbin TV integration where it can act as a remote by showing the channel guide and my recorded shows.

I love the display option. When I need to use a recipe I can see what the final product should look like or if the kids are asking about something for school they can see visuals for it. I LOVE the digital pictures option for when family visits!! I am a very visual person and would love to use this feature!

I love that it's not just a picture display, you can also talk to it and listen to music, etc. I would love to see them get Amazon connected with it. I love Google, but also love Amazon. I would keep this probably in my bedroom/kitchen. I look towards to trying out all the features it has!

It seems awesome! I have an HP TouchPad running webOS on my desk at work right now that just shows my daily Google Calendar, and the weather. This seems like a great modern replacement.

I am really looking forward to seeing where this goes. I love the idea of adding the utility of the screen to Google Home. I do think the lack of casting is a bummer but sounds like it is in the works for the future. I may wait till they go on sell but the price now isn't bad.

I would place it in my living room. Checking the weather would be very nice due to the nice display. Also I would be able to controller my nest thermostat. The fact that you can video call people is also very exciting.

The video aspect is the biggest of the improvements. It makes it super convenient for users to use in the kitchen especially. I like that you can mute the listening aspect as I'm a bit paranoid. While there are cheaper options, integration with Google services is a key PRO.

I really like the fact that a user can manually block the camera to avoid the possibility or accidental video recording or someone hacking into the unit and snooping on them. If the sound quality is as good as I have read, this will be an excellent device for anyone's home.

Quite an interesting looking smart assistant, I have the home mini, but the speaker quality is the main problem I have, will to look into this providing it’s making its way over the pond to the UK. Thanks for the great content as always too, dude! Whether it be the Peak Design backpack, or the Kindle Oasis, it’s always a product I’m either interested in already or something that answers a need I have, and it’s always made interesting! :)

I would definitely use the Lenovo Smart display in the kitchen when meal prepping for the week to quickly access new recipes. Personally for me I don't think any features were missed. I love there's a camera cover for privacy and from all the reviews I've seem so far the speaker is decent. I am excited to add this to my google home environment and be able to chromecast audio to my kitchen without having to crank the volume up in the living room

This is a great initial offering by Lenovo. For me, the best location is in that sweet spot that lies on the boundaries of my living room, kitchen and dining room. What I would really like to see in this is the ability to work with RING doorbells and similar devices.

Michael absolutely enjoyed just saw Brett do this review and definitely liked but maybe I missed it did not know it came in two sizes.I also started to read the review the other night but fell asleep.So glad you both did a review and I like.I have a VPN that I pay for but had to have the Bear as well he is cute.Love that they are coming out with Visual now as well.I do live on Amazon but mainly use Google for most so it's nice to see they are coming with new products but have to say I really like this.Awesome review guy's.I see I have catching up to do.Thanks for sharing Deb 👌👍

I am an Echo guy and have an Echo Show in my kitchen. I do have a Google Mini in the kitchen as well to catch anything that Alexa can't figure out. I'm just trying to figure out if I want/need one of these. Seems compelling.

I too have both as well and find i have the same issues. I have had the echo devices much longer than the google home and because of this i do always ask Alexa first only to turn around and ask Google the same question to get the answer i was looking for. I'm not a huge fan of the BING search engine that Alexa uses, i find it a swing and a miss often enough to notice the difference.

great review, i love the camera cover as well as the microphone. I have both alexa devices to include the echo show but i do not have this device yet, but i do very much want to have it because its google and it uses the best search engine around. ( my opinion ). i do also like the echo show but it has a few short comings that need to address and the google home needs to offer the same feature as the echo to have a better comparison. to date google home doesn't have the drop in feature like echo but echo has the announce feature like the google home broadcast feature. they both do phone calls but google to my knowledge can't call another google home device like the echo. I so want these features on my google home, as well as any future features planned from google.

My first impression is that the look of it is pretty dope, simple with some style. Would be nice to cast and watch Netflix but definitely not a deal breaker at all. I'm looking forward to trying out all the features, that the only way to know for sure if it is as good as it appears.

Great review! it seems like a lot of people are confused on the case use for a smart assistant especially with a screen. To me they are wonderful, modern products. I bought the original echo on day one because it immediately made sense to me (i could ask a speaker to play music while I was washing dishes!?) and have bought every itteration since, including the show and spot (my favorite). I have slowly been converting over to the Google homes with a couple of minis and the original Home. This review convinced me to purchase the smart display and replace my echo show that proudly sits in my kitchen. The reason these products are wonderful is their ability to make my tech DISSAPEAR! I hate carrying my phone around the house and the total dependency on the thing. Ironically, as I typed this my kids asked me if they could watch "cupcake and dino" on Netflix, I am comfortable, and was happy not to get up, search for the remote, just to do a simple task. All I had to do was tell Alexa to play cupcake and dino on Netflix, and turn up the volume! Having a screen adds so many nice elements that it is hard to explain to someone looking in, like being able to ask alexa to show me cameras when I hear a bump in the night outside...which can easily pull up on my TVs or spot, show, etc..I think these are products you have to use to really appreciate them. People that criticize me or think that it is "lazy", my simple question to you would be, why do you have a TV remote? It is something none of us would live without and I am sure that we dont even think about. That is where I see these smart displays going. I dont think about it. I just tell Google/Alexa to do a task and I go about my business. My kids are asking for snacks now, so I have to get up for that, lol!

I have the 10" version and am loving it! One downside is the Ring video cannot be displayed...but I am sure that can be fixed, plus I am considering changing over to a different doorbell camera.

I think the Lenovo Smart Display is a very interesting product! I would probably use one at home and most likely, in the kitchen. The feature that is missing that I'd like to see is the ability to take a quick picture with it. The features I most look forward to trying out are asking it for the weather and taking advantage of step-by-step recipes with visual aids.

Looks like something I would use more frequently than the Echo Show. I particularly like the nice, clear screen. I don't listen to music, and I don't honestly do "loud" anything, so I don't think I would have the command issues you occasionally experienced. I do, however, need it to be Bluetooth enabled, so I will check out a few more reviews to see if it has that capability. If not, I may have to go to Lenovo directly. I have one in our kitchen and we love it. I wish it would let you see my Arlo cameras. I enjoy using Google duo to talk to my wife. She loves it makes her cooling more fun
