@qwertydavid8070Ай бұрын
BROO FR!!! I thought I was the only one who had 7yo existential crisises lmao. I remember when I was 12 I was for whatever reason contemplating the nature of perspective. Like, how weird it is that I'm seeing the world through my eyes in this moment. I could have been born as hitler, I could have been born as barack obama, I could have been my mom even. How weird it is that the entirety of existence is confined to the perspective of me. It's hard to explain, because obviously every single person feels this way, but you can't really prove it tho. You can't "perspective swap" you're always confined to the body your mind inhabits. So you're always confined to your perspective, you literally physically can't know what it's like to be another person, and you probably never will. Apparently this is like an actual philosophical thing. I don't remember what it's called, but it's insane that 12 year old was thinking of these weirdly abstract philosophical constructs.
@christiano9693Ай бұрын
@@qwertydavid8070 just to clarify in case you still holding that belief "I could have born as other person". This is false. This is a factical belief in the idea that you are a soul that land in a random body even if you don't really believe in this at all, in practice if you literally believe that "I could have born as..." you believe in this idea without noticing. But of course is false. You only can born as yourself, in the exact moment of your borning, from your parents. If you could change any little events variant your parents don't conceive you in the exact moment and you would not exist, a brother or sister of you, but not you.
@@christiano9693 hmmm I guess this DOES make sense, I get what you mean. Still, in that case, it's still weird that I'm me. Because, supposedly, every human being is self aware. Every human being is living life through their own points of views, and I can only assume that the point of view is similar to what I see. It's difficult to explain, because you can tell me you're self aware too, but I can't truly know that, because I can't do a "perspective switch" like that. I'm confined to my own perspective, and as such I can trust you that you are the same as I me, but I can never really confirm that, I can never see through your eyes, I can only see through my own eyes, I guess that's weird in away.

I am so glad that I naturally gravitated to an... Understanding of my own mentality, and realized early on that "Procrastinating has a curious way of overwhelming all of good intentions." You cannot fixate upon past as the means to assess yourself or determine your worth. If you choose to become a better version of yourself, it is something you must act upon at every opportunity as it is presently available. Life is chaotic, unfair, and seemingly spiteful to the extreme regarding future plans for improvement. Do the dishes now, and they'll be done the rest of the day. Do the dishes *later*, and you can rest assured they will anthropomorphize by the next morning to jeer and harass you for the rest of that day as well. I have yet to experience a scenario where I caught myself thinking: "Oh man... I am SO glad I didn't do that task yesterday when I had the chance!"

I've experienced that lots of times. Like I needed to mow the lawn, but then someone else did it and got attacked by yellow jackets. I have some deep questions for ya'll to answer: Did the past truly happen earlier or is it just a frame in a giant flipbook that the universe is in? Does the past exist or is it an illusion created from the present constantly changing? Do we really live in the present if our senses and brain have a slight delay? Is it true that what we're seeing right now is the present, or is it the past, now processed by the brain? If we are truly experiencing the present, won't that mean everything happens in the future? And the future is what the present experiences? So that means, if you were hit by a car, you were already hit a millisecond ago? If the present creates the past, does that mean the future, which doesn't exist yet, create the present? So nothing creates something?
