Even though many of the things he's involved with seem to be evil, dark, or more of a wrong, he's a super important character with an insane amount of power, and I think it's something that Giancarlo would absolutely crush and be able to make the role iconic to a casual fans would suddenly want to learn more about this incredible storied character who never gets the limelight on the big screen

Good allegories for Firestorm would be Garnet from Steven Universe and Gotenks from Dragonball Z. Though it's not quite 1 to 1 because you don't get the two voices and they already have powers before fusing but just get even stronger. Stein being a voice in his head honestly makes it feel more like Batman Beyond just with fusion instead of technology.

I love all these roles for him, but Mr Freeze/Victor Fries still takes top billing for me. He would be so much more than just a villain. He’d be a sympathetic character coping with loss and grief, who maybe isn’t really such a “bad guy” when you get down to it. He’s just a guy who went about doing things in a bad way. If they go that direction for Fries, I think it’d draw Giancarlo to the role and provide a great take on the character.

As far as MM goes, since he's a shapeshifter, I don't think it matters too much if he's black or not... but what I'd really like is if they really have fun with it. Like how Brad Pitt is in like 2 seconds of Deadpool2. Let's get like RDJ and stuff to be a form MM takes, briefly. Have him be George Clooney Batman or something, too. Like when Loki was being Captain America and stuff. As for Shade, I'm not really familiar with him as a good guy, but what could be REALLY interesting, imo, is if he was actually a reformed villain. Since we have such a young Batman, as much as I'd kind of like it if Bruce had actually reformed some villains... I think the cool play here is having The Gray Ghost be the one who reformed Shade. He's the inspiration for Batman, right? Although as far as I know, he was supposed to be only an on-screen character, not a real hero... So just imagine the depth of an actor playing an actor who played a superhero, actually having a real hero moment and inspiring reform in a super villain. Basically, Shade was doing crime, maybe someone got hurt and he was more of a "Catwoman/no killing" type (not that I think Catwoman won't kill most of the time. I feel like she's the type to like the challenge of not killing but also won't hesitate if someone truly gets in her way)... but basically after accidentally knocking someone off a roof (and assuming they died, though we see later they just got pretty hurt), Shade runs into Gray Ghost in costume, who talks him into reforming. This could also foreshadow Batman's eventual run-in with Basil Karlo Clayface, a failed actor who basically wanted the spotlight but also to be a hero... and Clayface's eventual reform. I think the depth and layers there are wonderful to imagine. And Giancarlo still gets to play a good guy, now, but with that dark past... and a bit of a tragic one, too. Maybe he STILL thinks he killed that person. Maybe only we, the audience, know he didn't. And it still kinda torments him, like Batman's parents when he begs them to forgive him for making his promise to them, because he didn't expect he could be happy, in Mask Of The Phantasm.

Someone said it in a tweet, but I think he could be a great Silas Stone. I doubt Janes Gunn will give us a Cyborg movie, but if we do I think he could be a good Silas. We would be able to get his acting prowess of being a shady, smart person while also letting him not play another complete villain
