The awkwardly mixed vocals from Travis Scott is intentional Anthony. Remember ASAP Rocky's verse on Chanel? I do not know why both have done that, but I feel as though it is Frank's doing. P.S. not even limited to just the verse, but the entire second half of the Lens track sounds as if they recorded the official instrumental/interlude from studio speakers with Travis's studio mastered version of the vocals in there as well. For reasons I do not know.

i'm not 100% sure but i think the reason travis verse sounds like that is because only the frank ocean part of the song was released as a cdq, while the rest was remixed as it was recorded from the blonded radio. maybe we'll get a more clear cut when the full song is cdq? again not 100% sure

It's not every day you get some actual music coming out of the rap/r&b genres these days, since maybe 0.5 percent of all modern rap isn't complete fucking lazy, talentless, culturally destructive human excrement; not worthy of existing, and maybe 20 percent or less of new wave r&b is actually talented musicians who know how to play and write songs, let alone sing them without auto tune or studio trickery. Frank Ocean is a talented guy who can sing and seems to have passion for music, and knows how to write a song. And he has a grasp of the actual English language. That is a fucking *YUUUGE* advantage these days. Props to him.
