JJ was always scared shittly of his father but this is one of the few times I seen him stand his ground against James, feel confident in what he said and the points he made, and defended his sister without disrespecting anyone. He even acknowledged that his fathers points were valid because he is head of the household but still defended his sister. I thought that was beautiful.

If u can respectfully agree to disagree with your parents u have the backbone to stand and not back down... parents gotta remember children will disagree at times and it's ok... You know that most people would have been PROUD to have a father like that! In the episode that he died in and afterwards, the true importance of his absence was felt.
