One thing I love about the show is the people aren't bad people, they're just hurt. The characters, even the bad characters, aren't filled with hate they're filled with struggles. Humans are filled with strugles.

Coming in late to these reactions and loving it. The only issue I had with Ted was the southern drawl he had. I grew up in Kansas and moved to Kansas City MO for 10 years, and Kansas City KS and Kansas City MO is solidly midwest in accent. Ted's accent is heavily exaggerated. The idioms are spot on, but the drawl he has is more southern. Closer to the accent people in South Missouri and farther south have. It didn't take me out of the show at all, but it did make me laugh whenever he mentioned KCK as his hometown using that accent. I loved hearing him mention places that I have been. And Arthur Bryants is a good bbq sauce. My fave is sweet heat. The KC shirts he wears are an amalgamation of several KC bbq places. Arthur Bryants, Jack Stack, Gates bbq, and Kansas City Joe's.

It's such a long road to get to where the "Gaffer" is the boss. A "Gaffer" is traditionally the guy who set's every thing up, gets it good to go and then lets the "Talent" take over. "Gaffer" tape is an industry standard to make all the cable runs "disappear". The show only run's properly if the "Gaffer" is on their game, hence "The Gaffer Runs the show or the show doesn't run"

@cardiac194 ай бұрын
Sam's line about the American military and imperialism makes no sense. The US was never involved in Nigeria in a military way and never colonized Africa. The closest you can come is when freed slaves returned to Arica and formed Liberia. Now if he wants to crack back on the UK colonizing Africa I would get that.
