Playlist Dealer what you call boring some would call safe. A “productive” race conversation would have to include the tried and true “despite being only 13% of the population...” statistic. But no one wants to hear that, they just say it’s white peoples fault.

This is a true story: when I introduced my ex wife to to grandma I was a little "shook" because I knew my grandmother was a little bit...oldschool../racist. But everything went just fine until my grandmother asked my ex the question..." Baby..do all black people look the same to you" "my ex wife says no..absolutely not." My grandmother says" oh well all white people look alike to me" my ex wasn't offended at all she just added "oh yeah I totally get that because all Asian people look alike to me" at this point I'm "fucked up " when my grandmother says "oh yeah me too" ...they still friends years after our divorce.

The first funny black joke I heard from a white comic was Theo’s joke. “ Black people, fastest people on earth, slowest people to cross the street.” Hahahaha

Its hillarious to me when a White person and a Black person talk about race... the Black person can never be wrong, and the white person is always wrong or learning lol

My black friend and I talk about every race there is. Formula One, NASCAR, NHRA dirt track, Kentucky Derby, ninja warrior, Tokyo drift, pinewood derby. He taught me all about critical race theory. He also taught me about family. Live your life one quarter mile at a time.

What I took away from this is that Black American Culture is just ignorant and judgmental as any other. Which is heartening and also quite sad.

Was invited to the homies parents house one year for Thanksgiving. He invites one of his white coworkers to the function, nice guy btw, who shows up with some kind of cheese potato dish. Nobody touched it throughout the whole night. As we were cleaning up, preparing to leave, I hear the homie's dad say "make sure your friend takes that with him when he leaves". I always assumed dude cried in the car lmao.

Great conversation, it’s sad that race conversations nowadays are usually heated when really the point should be to learn and grow.
