This video was a God sign to me. I'm a 24 years old boy searching and learning how to become a righteous and courageous gentleman, just like our Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Saint Joseph and Moses were. Today I was doubting my worth as a man and dealing with my demons and insecurities. And tonight this video pops on my recomendations. Thank you my friend, God bless you, and Glory be to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. AMEN!

May I ask a question? I know that I’m late for this video but I feel compelled to ask so as to learn. If a man’s role is to sacrifice then why do we have the urges to want? If we want something doesn’t that mean that we’re going against the call to sacrifice all of ourselves?

God I pray there's still some left in our late 30's... 💔💔💔

And this is the problem with the Church in the last generation or two. Do you know any unmarried Catholic men in your parish? It sounds like you don't. But I guarantee, they are there. Parishes used to provide social events for the entire parish community to attend and/or volunteer at. Maybe an eligible single guy would be recognized by someone whose sister's hairdresser knew that you are an eligible single gal. And the social network might nudge you together. If you are in your late 30's, all that stopped happening before you were born. So what are you supposed to do? Posting broken heart emoji's won't help anything. Make yourself known socially in your parish somehow.

Thank you for attempting to help, but I attend practically everything, participate in practically everything, and know literally everyone in my parish and most people in the surrounding parishes. If you think single men are still attending church, then it isn't me that's wearing blinders. I was born in 1985 and I've never seen anything like that in church and scarcely seen an eligible bachelor.

@@robynbeach3198 I know for a fact that single men still attend church because I am one and I still do. I am almost a generation older than you, and I have never met any single Catholic women. Never. Not a one. I believe that's because in my area, there are no social opportunities and no social networks in the the parishes, there's nothing to attend or participate in. If those things existed for me like they apparently do for you, I'd make sure that people knew I was single and available.

I'm sorry you're experiencing that and I hope it gets better. There's gotta be something you can go to. The 5 parishes in my county have fish fries every Friday during lent, an outdoor guitar mass and picnic on the feast of the assumption, the woman's clubs all do dinners and breakfasts, they have a yard sale at the school where people sell sacred art and all sorts of Catholic goodies dirt cheap, God's portion day, knights of Columbus feather parties with dinner and bingo games, pot lucks, etc... It doesn't have to be a singles night. Women are usually the ones organizing things. And I know old church ladies are controlling and take the fun out of everything by wanting everything a certain way and it can be so discouraging for anyone trying to jump in, but it's honestly worth trying. As for me, my annulment was the subject of enough old church lady gossip that I'm not sure there could be a Catholic within 50 miles that doesn't know I'm available.

@@larrymelman if you live in a city, which I'm assuming you do because it sounds like the people around you don't know each other, you could even try looking for (or even starting) a Catholic book club, a retreat, or even go to a 40 days for life rally. (I wish we had rallies like that here.) If you can get past Susan from the parish counsel you might even offer to host a pot luck yourself. Or maybe one of the Susan's will be a young widow... You never know... God bless.

Okay, all the CNN commentator assured me of is that some people are still conscious that we will meet God and not on our own terms.

If you’re going to follow Jesus’s path as masculinity, then wouldn’t that include supposedly him being celibate and never marrying?

If you'd be open to a deeper explanation of the topic and the reasoning behind it, Christopher (the president of the TOB Institute) has a best selling book where he goes deep into that topic. You can find it here: shop.corproject.com/products/good-news-about-sex-and-marriage
