Kyotosomo low-motion, easily reusable footage of talking can be multiplied effectively. very rarely does max do unique movements, but when he does its enough to spice it up without being too over-the-top to produce.

Just a theory, but maybe his character model is a 3D aside from the 2D elements implemented into it. This way the movements are a bit easier to animate and the shirt etc can pretty easily be changed every episode if needed. The mouth and eye animations can be reused and if you actually look at Goofball and BurnBot throughout episodes there are a lot of reused animations for both that just work (and safe time)

In my opinion, a lot of people are missing the hilarious metaphor. The cereal bit to me was just symbolizing Star Wars, and the repetitive discussions about it. The point he brings up with the R2 thing and the click-bait title is how movie reviewers on KZbin talk about Star Wars, and how they don't bring anything to the table and can only bring an idea by a cheap title. Wasn't the cereal resembling Star Wars? And by saying people only care about the marshmallows and nobody cares about the chocolate chunks is the idiots who defend Rogue One because 'the battles were good'. The chocolate chunks represented character development and story while the marshmallows represented action and visuals (which is all Rogue One and The Force Awakens mainly were, exploiting visuals and action.) Only eating the marshmallows is good, but after awhile it becomes too sweet and you need some cereal to balance it out.

Can I just say that I really appreciate the creativity and adventurousness that is this show? This is a really hard joke to pull off since it has to completely rely on the characters and the delivery of the lines. I remember that when HDD switched to animating mainstream topics and Brain Dump, I was confused on the sudden change of tone in his animations and especially his representation of himself. The addition of new and involved characters also seemed off. Now it is clear to me the amount of expertise it takes to craft these scenarios and confidence to completely follow through. So much that this is one of those series that should not be graded using an out-of-ten scale but be viewed as a work of art that breaks new ground in the interaction between multiple genres, tone shifts, and even purpose, such as from criticizing a movie to criticizing himself as both a character and critic to dropping all of that for comedy that reinforces the characters and general tone of the show, thus helping the viewer indulge in the wackiness throughout the series as a whole. It's amazing because there are so many factors involved, and each one has to be successful for this to work. I say all this because I originally didn't like the transition and dropped this channel. Coming back to it, I can see how I view it differently now, and I'm just in awe of the fine balance that I took for granted when this came out.

I thoroughly appreciate the fact that this show exists. Why? Instead of resorting to making a podcast or some other dull form of KZbin entertainment to make up for the shitty algorithm against animation producers, Max decided to create a genuinely entertaining animated show that mixed a clever form of animation complete with interesting and "resourceful" opinions with a few zany characters thrown in the mix. (I'm months late, but I have a mini theory about this episode of Brain Dump. It might just be me looking into it, and this episode isn't really backed up by anything but speculation and observations.)So, we were clickbaited into the episode, right? Nothing is more eye catching than the words "Star Wars" and "abortion" in a video title, and Star Wars has been kicked up into high gear with the new movies, obnoxious merchandising, and basically Disney taking the public by the threat and searing Star Wars into our collective minds. It sounds like an overstatement, but there has been so much advertisement and collective awareness recently around this cult classic that it gets a bit repetitive, just like (say it with me) Gramma Brownie's Chocolate Chunker Wunker Bunkers, Now With Even Bigger Chunks of Chocolate Chunks is in this video. It's brought into the spotlight, and it suddenly takes over, ruining the video. Max repeats it, Burnbot (our queen and savior) repeats it, and Goofball repeats it, until it becomes absolutely obnoxious. Then, when pushed to the side for what we are actually here for, the cereal is missed. Why? Because just like Star Wars, Gramma Brownie is a "sensation that has been bringing magic to the hearts of children and adults alike worldwide for the past sixty years-" (however Star Wars hasn't been here that long but you get the idea.) Star Wars, Now with even more special effects and Explosions to get your nostalgic/childlike wonder senses tingling. I figured out the purpose of R2-D2. Literally, R2-D2 was just some run of the mill droid that was going to blend in with other droids on the Death Star in Star Wars IV: A New Hope right after Princess Leia embedded the distress signal with the Death Star blueprint attached to the message. R2-D2 is essentially a messenger. Although it could be argued that since Luke intercepted R2-D2 when Uncle Owen wanted a protocol droid (C-3PO) and the Jawas were selling R2-D2 who was the protocol droid's companion. Had C-3PO been like, "Screw it, R2-D2 can fend for himself." then Luke wouldn't have considered seeing Ben Kenobi about the message he accidentally discovers in R2-D2. Therefore, R2-D2 was critical in being intercepted by Luke on his mission to give the message from Leia to Ben because it would basically set the plot of the entire film in motion. Which would lead to it's lovely offspring sequel that some argue is better than the original, "Star Wars V: The Empire Strikes Back"
