I hammock camped Monday night. Went to my favorite small lake, fished, cooked lunch, fished, cooked dinner, took a nap, fished some more, and was thinking about going home for the night, I laid down in the hammock for another few minutes to relax and ended up waking up at 2am having to pee lol, so I decided to stay :)

Luke, this video was worth the wait...totally awesome! Wow, Madison sounds so confident and mature. You and Susan done good. Your military surplus adventures are simply the best on You Tube. Just about 80% of my overlanding gear is military surplus and several pieces have been in use for 35 to 40 years. It's just so well made and durable. I marvel at how you can manage to down an MRE. I haven't touched one for 31 years since I retired.

Great video Luke as always! It was great to hear from Mady, it has been a long time... for someone who served 7 years in the Air Force, I know how hard it can be and how stressful, it's an interesting period of learning and adjusting and it's an important part of life for everyone who serves, so no worry she'll be OK. I hope she will come back to visit you guys soon or at least you'll be able to visit her. Thanks for sharing, greetings from Israel in the Middle East.

I spent 11 months on 3 Aircraft Carriers in the Mediterranean Sea in 1971. Than liked so much volunteer to do it again but things changed and sent us to Vietnam by way of USS Saratoga 30 days to the Philippines were I and my fellow Marines hooked up with the rest of our Unit and our Sister Unit of the 1st Marines, 1st Marine Airwing.and traveled between DaNang Vietnam, Cubie Point Philippines, Ubon Thailand for 11 months. It was crazy but I got to thank the Navy for the Ride, but they spoiled me because I will never get on anything smaller than an Aircraft Carrier. Rode on the USS Forestall ( USS Zippo), USS Saratoga ( Sorry Sarah ), USS America ( don't know it's nick name but was a great Ship ). Sarah tried to Sink near Athens Greece, crazy time.

Luke, normally I’m exclusively a tarp guy; but, when I use a tent, I always try to set up a tarp similar to how you’ve done your’s, rain and sun shine. It serves as a great porch and keeps the heat of the direct sun off the surface of the tent. That makes the tent much cooler. So glad you got to talk with your daughter, tugs on the heart strings. Appreciate the trouble you go through to put out your videos. What I started the military we had c-rations. The MREs are much improved. Great video, thanks again. Texas

This is the 20th year since we lost my Mom to lung cancer despite her quitting 10 years previously- my oldest child was only 10 then- she went much too young.
