In a remote forest on top of a high mountain, Luke the Lone Wolf is venturing off-trail to explore for a Military Surplus Adventure!
In this episode, some awesome gear is used from military forces all around the world and some very unique MRE's are eaten.
Some of which are rather bizarre!
This is a Military Surplus Winter Overnight Adventure!

Luke, is there a reason why you use the Esbit alcohol burner and not the original Trangia with the Swedish stove? Just curious.... The Trangia burner is admittedly heavy and I have wanted to find something lighter myself. But it is hard to find one that is as good.

I remember being stationed in Korea, anytime we’d train with the ROK soldiers we’d compare MRE’s. The South Korean MREs were always better than ours, we’d try trading every time. Korean rice and beef always seemed way better than the American imitation beef rib patty thing 😂

I love the idea of a tarp and a net tent instead of a regular tent for summer camping. You get the best of both worlds of tent camping to keep out bugs and tarp camping to keep off rain. Plus you stay much cooler in the summer heat

The Swedish mess can is generally call'd "Snuskburk for those that served in Swedish military, in English that would be somthing like "dirtcan", it's becuse it's not easy to clean... And Luke change your "Lapplander" saw for a "Silky" saw...you wont regret it...
@janblom1174
@janblom1174 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah! Got the impression that it was called "snuskburken" because during my winter drills, some of the food would freeze to the bottom of the mess tin. When you put new hot food in, it would thaw all previous meals from a couple of days back. Interesting....😅

I don't get to camp near as much as I'd like to, so I really enjoy tagging along with you. I grew up in the Scouts and popup camper camping with my family, but usually in improved campgrounds and Indiana State Parks. One of the best experiences I ever had though was going through Survival School in the USAF in the Spring of 95 for 6 days in the mountains near Spokane, WA. Your survival knowledge always reminds me of that experience. I pray Suzie is well. Peace and love.
