We must have been watching two different interviews? -- because I witnessed the exact opposite. Theo was not in any way uncomfortable. And he obviously prefers to improvise his interviews, as in 'having a good conversation'. The problem here, is that Ms. Von D is not skilled in the fine art of conversation. Theo is engaging and full of enthusiasm, but she was literally incapable of responding adequately to his questions. The interview was cringeworthy IMO because she seems to be depressed & distracted, constantly fidgeting with her nails & hair. Furthermore her sense of timing is pathetic: when he asks a simple question she often hesitates or says little in response, then she will interrupt Theo when he's trying to fill the constant 'dead air'. What's especially tragic for me, is her total reluctance to speak about her Baptism & personal relationship with Christ?

Kat is the hands down nicest celebrity I have ever met. She was in my city up here in Canada for the local tattoo show as one of the celebrity artists. My son was about 9 or 10 at the time and had a huge crush on her, so we went down to stand in line for an autograph and meet and greet. He picked out his coolest punk outfit, spiked his hair, and spent time getting ready for days .We waited in line for hours, and right as we got to the front, the handlers and security shut it down. He was heart broken. She saw him, noticed his disappointment, and said to the guys, "Hey, let that little dude in" he got to jump the rope and was all cool as a cucumber walking over to her. She was so nice to him, stayed a little extra to chat with him for a minute or two, and signed his sunglasses. I was so touched that she saw a little kid that just wanted to meet her, and gave him that time. He remembers it to this day of how beautiful, smart, talented, and above all KIND she was to him. I think he still has the sunglasses too somewhere lol. I had to stay behind the velvet rope because it was "closed" but I did get to wave to her and say thank you as my son walked back to me with the greatest grin I've ever seen on a little boy.

As a young adult/older teenager, I loved Kat. So much. She was the only person on tv who looked like me and she made me feel like I wasn’t alone or “weird”. Especially when all the “preppy perfect” girls started wearing Kats make up. They would bully and pick on me for looking different then would turn around and buy her make up and worship Kat. Now at 36 years old, I have escaped an abusive marriage, had two children, I survived a heroin addiction when so many of my peers didn’t, I’ve got 6 years of sobriety, and every day I am working on my relationship with God. I have been feeling alone, judged and worthless again. But then this morning I seen this podcast and once again Kat has made me feel not so alone in this world. I wish Kat could know that she had saved the life of a small town girl from WV, who also likes to wear black clothes AND go to church, more then once. I whole heartedly believe that God has sent Kat to me in some form or way when I need a reminder that I am not alone, I am not worthless, and I am capable of loving and being loved someday.
