Fun fact for the battlefront 2 vid, the og game was actually the second most played game (1st was halo 2) when the original xbox servers were shut down, so EA bf2 had some big shoes to fill

Same! This was actually my first video game ever on my PS4 when I was 10 in 2015. Honestly, I never noticed any problems at all. Mostly because I didn't have any previous experience to go off when it comes to problems within games. But I would definitely go back to playing it if it was revived.

The maps are 10x better than the BF2 maps, the blasters are far better, the star cards are better, the no class system is better, the heroes were more fun, the game modes were more fun, the DLCs were better, etc. I totally get why people prefer BF2, I just prefer BF1

I got Star Wars Battlefront for Christmas in 2015. I was 13, a massive Star Wars nerd, had loved playing video games since I was 5 and 2 days prior, had lost my mum to cancer. I remember playing Battlefront all day on Christmas Day; it provided the greatest distraction to the biggest change in my life so far and I am so thankful for that. We went to see the Force Awakens on Boxing Day and it's safe to say that I was completely immersed in Star Wars media for that holiday period. Star Wars Battlefront brought me so much joy and I didn't care if the game was flawed, it helped me stay positive and still remains one of my favourite games today.

Battlefront 2015 never gets old. I genuinely like it better than Battlefront 2. It looks, sounds, and feels far better than it’s sequel. Playing it feels like you’re actually experiencing the films, rather than playing just another Star Wars game. It’s very hard to explain, but there is a exponential difference between how the two games feel. If they ever come around to making a Battlefront 3, I really hope they try to recapture that feeling.

I got the game recently after the last dlc dropped, and it was awesome. It was actually the first game I got for Xbox, since it came with it as an Xmas present. Matches were still available without hassle, and I loved it. Btw, idk if its just me but... This games blaster bolts look miles better than any other star wars battlefront game. And holy moly, if you can, I highly suggest getting a match in sabotage (Bespin dlc) it was so hectic with how many heroes were available, and I loved it. Will always cherish this game.

It's my 2nd favorite Star Wars game right after the original Battlefront 2 from 2005 The gameplay was fun and way better than in the sequel and the maps were amazing and better than in Battlefront 2 They were designed well and look great and accurate to the movies And I think it looks even better than Battlefront 2 2017 because it looks smoother and the map design is way better Battlefront 3 should be either more like this or like the Classic Battlefront games

I originally was not planning to buy the season pass as it was so expensive back in 2015-2016, but about a month after the bespin dlc, there was a weekend where the season pass would only cost $30 so I figured to might as well get it and man it gave more life into the game. The dlc’s really allowed me to enjoy this game. Imagine if it launched with all of the content that was included in the season pass!

Installed this game on xbox one thanks to EA play today. I also uninstalled it within five hours of playing it. Playing as the rebels is almost a guarenteed loss, metas overrun lobbies, people sweat so hard on every game mode (unless they're on your team for some reason from what I've noticed), it's not fun unless you probably have a full squad with you. Then it might actually be enjoyable. Anyway. Battlefront 2 (2017) isnt nearly as painful to play. To whoever sees this I hope you have a great day.

My first battlefront game was the original 2005 title and I played that game for HOURS when I was like 7 or 8 (and still do play it- it’s become a tradition for me to play it around the holiday season!). I got the 2015 title when I was 16 for Christmas and I played the crap out of it in the first 3 days alone. I got to rank 50 in those 3 days and then I couldn’t afford the DLC so I left it at that and I sold my PS4 a year later so I didn’t play it again until 2018. Recently started playing it again in lockdown and the nostalgia behind it was unbelievable. Sure I wish you just run up to an X-Wing or AT-ST and hop in instead of using star cards (the same goes for new Battlefield titles and SWBF2 2017 but that’s another conversation) but games like Supremacy as an intense tug-of-war and Walker Assault seeing the huge walkers and being able to jetpack on top of them and beam enemies from that mobile height advantage was (and is) just so much. Good times indeed.

It's crazy that this game STILL looks this good. I am unfortunately one of the fans that was so frustrated, I just put the game away and never went back . That Bespin map where they froze han looks fuggin AWESOME. I just started playing BF2 , that had a rocky start as well. Im so glad i came back to it. It's been SUPER fun and they fixed this game better than they did the first! DICE. Learn, release full games and we will adore you.

The game is amazing. I know it's unpopular opinion, but I consider 2015's Battlefront much better than Battlefront 2 (2017). Especially heroes vs villains mode, and better gameplay solutions (more simplicity, like the lack of annoying 4-tier star cards, and the fact that you actually "pick up" vehicles and heroes as tokens, instead of buying them for them silly battlepoints, like in Battlefront 2).

I still play this game on ps4. I play this over bf2 honestly. I love this game to death, got the darth vader bundle for Christmas and finally upgraded to the ps4. Imo outer rim and rogue one are the best DLC. And I know I'm gonna get some hate but I kinda like the heroes better at least Boba, Han, Lando, Bossk, etc. BF2 messed up their graphics (looking at u Luke and Lando) and I'm also am OT fanboy so I might be slightly biased here. I remember being at celebration seeing the reveal trailer for battlefront 2, the first (and currently only) celebration I’ve been to and man the hype for bf2 was crazy. Seeing maul show up made the whole room go nuts as you can imagine. Too bad we gotta wait god knows how long before another game remotely similar to a battlefront game.

Despite everything Battlefront 1 lacked, I still got a ton of fun out of it, the season pass was well worth my money. Got to a point where regardless of the game mode as long as it wasn't HvV (I barely used heroes, I still didn't in Battlefront 2 and I still don't when I play Battlefront 2) I was able to get in the top 3-5 of my team consistently (obviously people that know what they are doing with heroes were always going to get top 1 and 2 unless we really didn't have people who knew how to play heroes.)

I actually enjoyed the first battlefront, even if it lacked the era wayyy more than BF2, gunplay was amazing, UI was way more starwars than the second one, and as a season pass sucker, omg the hype for each DLC pack and the countless nights of hype and playing them and the new heros was amazing. I still prefer this over BF2. I love its focus on the original trilogy. Just re-installed it on PS4 and people still play it! (Sadly, only the base game).

Tbh I liked the mechanics on this game better than BF2. If BF2 had the weapon mechanics and system of BF1... holy shit that game would be incredible

This game is a niche Star Wars game in my opinion. You have to be a OT fan to really enjoy 2015 Battlefront, which is why I do so much. However having prequel era would’ve been awesome.

This game will always hold a special place in my heart. I was one of the fans that spent countless hours on this game in college waiting for every map pack to drop to master every hero. I still till this day think its a better game than Battlefront 2 ( I know im in the minority but its just personal preference). I wish I could turn back the clock for this to be my main game again because right now nothing got close to this in my eyes.

I honestly preferred the first one to the second. I know lots of people loved the class system but I personally HATED it. I hated most of the maps, the limited array of weapons per class, the way the classes functioned, the star cards, and the feel. Most of my friends rip the first one for being too boring, but even once Jetpacks became the norm, I still vastly preferred the first game to the second. if I could change it, I would only remove the jetpacks. keep everything on the ground. But overall, the customization, the feeling of every gun, and even the starfighter mode, all felt simpler, but better.

I still remember the time when I nightsticked Darth Vader to death with Jyn Erso, on Hoth, then went on a rampage and destroyed Boba Fett and about sixteen troopers before finally dying. It'll go down as one of my fondest memories in a shooter game.

I agree! I too love the starcards and the weapons. I think weapons and explosions were better looking and sounding too. But I personally loved jetpack. I think they made the game such live and exciting. They made that levels werent just plane line with chokepoints but vast and wide battlefield were you could make your own game with choosing try to flank enemy or look for the high ground.

This was the first game I got on my PS4 so I played it a ton and I was too young to notice the lack of content. It was just so much fun at the time. (Also does anyone else remember the R2-D2 glitch where you get him stuck in a room and bacta bomb him for thousands of points)

I loved this game and still love it til this day. I was 13 and I grinded the shit out of it. Sadly, as a 13 yr old I was unable to buy the season pass until it was made free. Miss this game so much
