Erwin van den Berg hi. I didn’t made one of those video but I randomly gave some tips in some videos. Main point with triskates is the middle wheels. Rotation must be made in a way that there are no pivot point in the middle .

@@ThePascalbriand Thanks for your quick answer Pascal, but I do not really understand 'no pivot point' in the middle. My wheels are becomming like your picture 'B' at 6:12. I need to swap them in such an order that the 'edges' of the wheels will be in one line again?

Erwin van den Berg yes as much as possible . Pivot point is wheels the middle wheels kind of become dominant behind the highest point ... then it become super unstable...

Hi Pascal, How we know the right time to change the wheel. I examined that new wheel jump more, when we drop the wheel in the surface and old wheel jump very less. Is it way to judge and replace the wheel.

You can judge with the quality of the push. If you push and it doesn’t grip enough to built speed then it mean they start to be tired. If they loose the upper shape then it’s also a good reason to change them.

Hi Pascal, your videos are fab and quirky! I am going to do the berlin this year and am changing from 110 to 125 after only 2 months skating. i pronate a bit but am working on it with success. do you think i should wait longer to change to bigger wheels and what hardness should i look for in marathon wheels? hope you reply. youre a legend. really enjoy ur vids!

hi with bigger wheels you will have to work a little less on outside edge...still a bit but less than on a 110mm. hardness is not so so important as long as you feel the push. I like softer wheels as i can generate more grip / pressure / push on them but you may like harder wheels if you like more a glide feeling…

What brand are your red and yellow spoke wheels ? And what do you think of the cheap megacruiser 125 wheels hardness 86 ?

Ze Bur the yellow and red wheels are arms wheels... the cheap mega cruiser wheels are not great but good good enough y for freeskate... best point is :-) they fit the skate color ;-)

Does wheel type affect the speed?lets say original 110 g13 and fake ones??

Fake wheels will be way way slower probalby 1 or 2sec per 100m in sprint and they will not grip in corner...and probably break....so they would be dangerous.

Hello Pascal ! Bonne vidéo, j'ai d'ailleurs une question par rapport à ce que tu dis dans cette vidéo combiné à une vidéo précédente par rapport à l'alignement des platines. Tu sembles expliquer que la platine ne devrait pas être plus sur l'extérieur à l'avant car ça gêne pour avoir un bon patinage. Or si la plupart des gens sont mieux avec la platine sur l'intérieur du pied, moi c'est l'inverse, je dois sortir la platine sinon ma cheville n'est pas droite et le patinage est douloureux. Quand je règle mes platines, je centre l'arrière et je sort l'avant jusqu'à ce que ma cheville soit bien, mais du coup elle est orientée de base dans le sens qui ne te plaît pas. Est-ce que tu penses que j'ai intérêt à moins sortir l'avant et plus sortir l'arrière pour que la platine soit droite voir rentrée sur l'avant malgré que je la règle sur l'extérieur ?

salut...je pense que tu dois la garder comme cela semble te plaire si tu as déjà essayer ma technique et que ca ne marche pas. Il faut respecter ta mecanique...tout le monde a pas des pieds qui favorise mon reglage...la on est pas egaux. .. par contre automatiquement tu auras plus de difficultés sur ce point technique et probablement donc plus de mal a garder une poussée latérale... tu peux tenter de mettre l'arrière plus à l'exterieur pour trouver l'angle un peu fermé...mais ca doit pas être au détriment d'une prise de carre externe... donc favorise la prise de carre externe... et apres au pire tu travailles plus avec ta hanche pour faire revenir ton patin sur le côté en gardant les roues dans l'axe de déplacement....

J'ai fait le test de régler ma platine avec un angle fermé tout en conservant le décalage extérieur depuis quelques jours maintenant. Je dois dire que j'aime assez la sensation de patinage. J'ai des douleurs sous la plante du pied probablement dues au fait que mon pied doit s'habituer à la nouvelle position, mais pas de soucis de malléole ni de stabilité. Je vais tester un certain temps comme ça voir ce que ça donne une fois habitué. Il est à noter aussi que mes chaussons ne sont ni moulés ni thermoformés. Je fais probablement tenter le thermoformage ce qui devrait aider. Il est vrai que je sens moins la double poussée, mais je me dis qu'il est préférable d'optimiser la poussée qui se fait sur une plus grande amplitude, et je sens mieux ma poussée, à voir une fois habitué.

Hello Daniel le réglage que tu décris pourrait avoir un intérêt si tu patines en faisant la double poussée 'a la chad hedrick'. Hypothèses qui restent à confirmer : - platine décalée vers l' intérieur (fermée) = favorise la poussée vers l'exterieur - platine décalée vers l' intérieur (ouverte) = favorise la poussée vers l'intérieur

Merci du conseil, je suis en train de tester platines fermées depuis quelques jours. J'ai quelques douleurs plantaires, mais j'ai l'impression que c'est mieux. Je teste encore le temps de m'habituer voir ce que ça donne pour décider mais il y a des chances que je garde cette configuration.

depend of the surface of the ground...and my tehcnique when im tired , i kill them faster about 200km on road when i'm skatign good i think i can keep them about 100km more
