Perfect video, I started skating at 8 and stopped at 16. Now I'm 30 and I bought a pair of powerslide to start again, this video is helping me a lot to remember how to set it properly! Thank you a lot! +1 subscriber

Cool tips! Can You recommend any tips or a make a short video, how to correctly mount the trinity frame? I have 3x3 and 4x4 both trinity frames and everytime I change them I find it hard to set the frame on the center of the foot (;

Wow so many variables! I think getting it right could be almost impossible for someone who doesn't even know what "right" feels like. I can imagine it might be easy to accidentally have the front angles mismatched, especially since what's "right" for one foot might not be right for the other foot. This is the first time I've ever heard of wedging. Hard to imagine such a thin piece of folded foil could have that big an impact, and also hard to know what defines a wedging problem. I'm going to try that single foot hop though...
@ThePascalbriand4 жыл бұрын
wedgind is a solution if you feel your skate never feel good what ever side setting you try. Wedging is basicaly a correction of you foot angle. Check your Walking shoes and you will see if you walk more on the Inside or the outside. It similar correction here i think. In skating we want a bit of outside alwyas in priority. also sometimes its very hard for the shoemaker to make the flat of the Inside of the shoes parallele flat to the carbon base Under the shoes. If it happen (quite often) then wedging is needed. Powerslide sell pitch tool for exemple and its super easy to fix on the frame as they are plan for this.

Hello Pascal can one use washers when fixing up the bolt to the frame?
@ThePascalbriand3 жыл бұрын
Yes it’s recommended ... depending of the frame you might use different washer size. Make sure they are strong because weak washer might brake and it’s a reason of loosing frame during skating :-)

hi, can i ask a question? What substantial differences can there be by placing the shoe further forward compared to the frame? I had put it in the middle before and it was fine on long road but cornering and starting off was bad. Now putting the shoe further forward, it's fine at the start and in the corners but in the straight I feel difficulty in pushing, could it be or is it just my impression? A thousand thanks
@ThePascalbriand Жыл бұрын
Hi for corner best to centered…. For straight line some like to move the frame more forward
@1985Rudyhouse1985 Жыл бұрын
Ok, I had initially hit it, then I moved the frame back because I had difficulty crossing, and in the starts I happened to bang my skates and I was less reactive. Do you think it could lose a lot of smoothness with the frame half a centimeter further back?

Cool video , I have been trying to adjust my left skate as it's difficult to roll straight. I have urban '' rollerblade RB80''. I'm trying to figure out how to set up my frame to have a more balanced and straight roll but my left skates it leans to the left the outside edge than staying straight.
@ThePascalbriand7 жыл бұрын
hi Shawn, what you describe on your left skate look like a wedging problem
@shawnshawn9117 жыл бұрын
pascal briand OK, is there anything that can be done ?
@ThePascalbriand7 жыл бұрын
probably best solution is to try to put little aluminium paper between frame and shoes to correct the angle... if its folling too much on the outside edge, then put paper in the Inside part between shoes and frame

@ThePascalbriand7 жыл бұрын

Can you use a short frame on inline speed skates or while that cause some problems with my performance during ska to ng

darrius bovain yes you can it’s just more unstable at high speed but it’s better for acceleration ... kathi rumpus is using a 12.5inch for marathon and she love it

Great video. If wedging is required do you wedge both the front and back mount, normally?
@ThePascalbriand7 жыл бұрын
Thomas de Meijer yes better to wedge front and back otherwise it could tork a bit the frame and kill a little the wheels alignements :-) so less rolling

Pascal... what reaction do you get from the skates (in your skating) if you move the rear of the frame more towards the inside (medial) of the foot or towards the outside (lateral) assuming the front end of the frame stays under the same spot of the skate? And viceversa... what reaction do you get if you move the front end of the frame towards the inside or outside of foot, assuming you would keep the rear end of frame on the same spot? Do I explain myself?
@ThePascalbriand7 жыл бұрын
If i put the rear more Inside it's can happen when i m full Inside in front and i still dont find the feeling ...then i put 1 mm more Inside in rear... i almost never put more outside the middle (cause of my foot shape) but i can imagine some would...but then i dotn think it would be an advantage anyway...

@ThePascalbriand7 жыл бұрын

Fiuuu, after posting I was afraid it could be not clear I was actually joking... Actually, it helped me a lot because I had (actually have) problems trying to learn the double push (I come from cycling, I am not a "true" skater) and it didn't occur to me that, possibly, the frames where with the tips pointing inward from factory setting. I moved them into what you call "neutral position" and it seems to help at least to have a "poser double push". The first push is really not pushing but at least long strides are possible.
