I find you very adorable! I had breast cancer, in 2016. I now live in Italy, and feeling great. You can only do so much, but less stress, quality of food, and exercise, and doing joyful things help a lot. I wish you all the best❤

Did anyone here who had/has cancer have any body stressors anytime before your diagnosis, like mental stress or grief, over working, over exercising, or an unhealthy diet? I've been doing lots of research and found that most people who had cancer had some type of stressor beforehand. Some body stressors may not feel like stress. For example, running marathons makes people feel good, but it's actually stressing the body. Anything that over stresses the body causes systemic inflammation and cell malfunction and lowers the immune system so it cant repair damage thats happening.

Yes, actually. Not sure if it made it into this final video, but I’m pretty sure it was “the most stressful week in my life” in November 2022 which ended with COVID catching me (so stress AND systemic inflammation all in a short period of time) that started the ball rolling. My physical at the end of December 2022 was the first time my cholesterol was elevated and my blood sugars/A1C indicated troubles. My symptoms began early March 2023, so really quite quickly. But I’m convinced that stress (plus COVID) are what pushed my body over the edge. Gigi (interviewee)

Stable bloods during treatment isn't uncommon. It has nothing to do with diet. I say this because it's important that newly diagnosed people don't think diet has more power than it does.

Thank you.

Please see the comment entitled “why I did this interview” for well researched resources on how diet can help. Not all dietary changes will work for everyone because we’re all so genetically different. Not all tumors respond to diet, but most solid tumors (like gyne and colon) respond to inflammation (which is often driven by diet). So diet is worth at least investigating if you’re starting a journey. In the end though, you will need to figure out what is best for you and your own body. Gigi (interviewee)

Being “feisty” doesn’t make people live after cancer. Being positive doesn’t affect the cancer. Being anything doesn’t affect the progress of a cancer. Feisty people also die of their cancer. It’s annoying and misleading to hear that kind of thing.

Well said. It’s very annoying. This woman’s approach to her cancer was very odd.

This comment is so bitter and unnecessary and rude. There are no absolutes that being positive *doesn't* affect cancer or *does* affect cancer, but positive energy and vibes can't make the situation worse.
@Ceerads5 ай бұрын
@@kellee7563 I’m also a cancer survivor (breast). I’m tired of the toxic positivity (to use a well-worn cliché). Being positive feels good, and that’s good, but until studies prove it affects survival in a positive way, I and others are not being bitter or rude by expressing our skepticism about its benefits other than helping people feel happier.

Re: “false hope” Forgive me but I respectfully disagree with this statement. All hope is real (and necessary!). I believe you may actually mean “false expectations” and/or “false promises”, neither of which I made in the interview. In fact, you’ll note that I mention an example of “false expectations” when I talk about thinking that surgery alone would cure my cancer. You’ll also hear me talk of “false promises” when I mention that my lab results after surgery were promised within 4-7 days, but actually took closer to 3.5 weeks. Expectations can bring suffering. I have been working hard to let go of any I’m holding onto while on this journey. This is very difficult to do. Promises, because everyone’s cancer journey is unique and individual, are a red flag, and to be avoided. Hope, however, is real and quite necessary on this journey. My “bad days” are when fear squeezes out my hope. I can feel my chest and gut tighten, my head ache, and my heart get heavy. Hope always lightens the load. It is necessary to survival. Without hope, what’s the point in living? So to all those newly diagnosed folks, I’d say “hold tightly onto hope! Let go of expectations (and know that it’s really hard to do). Beware of promises.” Gigi (the interviewee)

The prayer of faith will heal the sick. JESUS CHRIST himself took our infirmities and bore all our sicknesses. With His stripes we are healed.He is the LORD GOD our HEALER. What soever we ask in the name of JESUS CHRIST with faith we will receive it. Every thing is possible with God. He heals all our diseases. Believe on the LORD JESUS CHRIST and you will be saved you and your family.

So if Jesus Christ took your “infirmities” and bore “all your sicknesses” how come millions of Christians around the world get cancer and die. Or suffered heart attacks or strokes, only to die?? Take ownership of yourself and try to find the best doctors possible who will support you. Then thank the researchers and chemists and doctors and nurses. All of that is what cures you.
