@@apollo-eu4fk i dont see this as cancel culture really. to me cancel culture is blatantly trying to force something to be shut down because of some disagreement between 2 parties. this is more just the viewers telling espn they will stop watching their network because of their actions. maybe i missed it and some people actually called for espn to be shut down and im off target here but it seems to me that this is just choosing to not watch a network since they dont like how their handling business

@@evanfoss6564 Yes, there is a difference. Customers should always be speaking their desires with their dollar. Don't buy from sweatshops if you know it's wrong, for example. I mean, that's the very heart and nature of boycotts such as the bus boycotts in the '60's. Obviously, this is not nearly as important, to say the least haha. But, I'm merely saying that this is very different than trying to have someone's life ruined, like "cancelling" does. So, totally agreed.

It makes absolutely ZERO sense for ESPN to not allow it's analysts to come onto your show and promote their programs. What an idiotic business decision. ESPN shouldn't be treating you like competition, if they were SMART, they'd be treating you like a partner.

I would say its more just how genuine he is because Pat has brought up social issues before but he doesn't speak about them at length, and he's said before it's because he doesn't like to speak on things at length that he knows nothing about and he's always been genuine about that as well as his sports related knowledge.

I mean it's freedom of speech. ESPN let's its people speak on whatever they want to. When politics seeps into sports the personalities are allowed to voice their opinion. Pat himself supports BLM.
