This song is so good! So much power, and the combination of instruments is very interesting. It all feels very professional and well written and has a good balance of all the different elements. The melodies in this really stood out to me especially, and I totally agree on the last chorus as well. I don't have any problem with the chorus hook; I kinda see it more as a double chorus if that makes sense? And I think it gives it quite an anthemic feel. I think this one is being a bit underrated by the fans, but I'm sure it's gonna do really well in Liverpool. Voyager are an experienced band and I think we've seen they can perform.

I don't have much more to add to what you said, but I have seen a few people bump up against the "simplicity" of the lyrics being an issue for them. Voyager have a long history of writing some pretty incredible songs, so complex lyrics and themes are not something out of their grasp - I do believe it's a deliberate choice. The sheer amount of musicality and shifts in the music is already seeming like too much for a lot of people to take in (so many "I don't get what this is supposed to be" reactions out there), so the lyrics remain simple because the message is simple. It's all about finding that little bit of solace in a fast-changing, scary world - all you need is to hear someone tell you it's gonna be alright. I think damn near everyone can relate to that sentiment these days, whether they think it makes for simple lyrics or not. The chant for a chorus? It's an international song contest - what's the quickest, easiest way to unite an audience of people And that's before you take language barriers into consideration. Smart choice.

This is defenitely one of my favourites this year. Your only critique about the «Oh-oh’s» in the chorus didn’t put it any down for me, though. I loved your chordal analysis and agree completely. I think the vocal hook being super simple is just a way to make the song more relatable as so much of the song is over the top complex in terms of style mash ups and dynamics in the rhythm section. I normally dislike that kind of monosyllabic chant style chorus but here I think it actually works given the context. T

The lead-in "burp" sound the singer does at the start of each line is mildly irritating, but I quite like this song. I didn't think I would after the first listen, but it's growing on me. That guitar/keytar solo at the end is epic. I hope they can pull it off vocally live as there are lots of high belty notes in this, from both singers. I want it to qualify, just so I can hear Graham Norton describe it as "heavy metal", as he does with anything that sounds remotely like rock music to him 🙂 I remember him describing Maneskin as heavy metal at the time, which made me laugh (and hate him even more).
