It's very sad...i have lived in NZ for 30years...this is my home...and it definitely has gone backwards...as a progressive society, we should focus less on things like Race & Gender ideology...which are still fundamental issues to some other less progressive ones...doesn't matter whether they are developed countries or not... I have travelled to 66 countries & i rate NZ is the best in its treatment of the Indigeneous and may i call it "Positive Discrimination" 😊...which is wayyyyyy better compared to how the Aussies treat the Aborigines or how the Scandinavians treat their Samis or how USA treat their Native Americans.... yes i have witnessed this during my many years living here..including when flatting in Dunedin...e.g My Kai Tahu flatmate Kori was studying Physiotherapy & got full scholarship & allowance so he didn't have to work, whereas my 2 Pakeha ones (Vaughan & Michelle) were doing Commerce & Zoology and both had to work at BP & The Warehouse as they get no financial support... Im a 70 year old white man who is "Maori" because my great great Grandmother was Maori. I don't want to be Maori because Maori are stuck in a Feudal system .
