I didn't even know they had a new series. Just 2 days ago, I spent the whole day watching episodes of the 1987 version on Amazon Prime, going down memory lane.

I have the box set of the original show. The original shows was better than I remember it being. The show went from being more action based in the first two season to more comedy based in season 3 and forward and went back to being more action-based season 7-10.

@@captainmartin1219 I haven't seen these OG TMNT episodes since 1989-1992 time frame. I only made it up to about season 3 and then I switched over to Power Rangers in 1993. I honestly didn't realize the show went on for several more seasons so, I'm enjoying catching up.

@@jos234 1989 to about 1993, I went through my TMNT phase and boy did I have a lot of merchandise. I've been recently re-watching the show on Amazon Prime and just hearing the music within the episodes transported me back to those days.

Pigeon Pete was in the 87 shows, but he was just a normal pigeon that belonged to Michaelangelo. They then made him a mutated character in the 2012 show. I don't remember in he was in the 2003 show or not.

I'm more of a fan of the old school Ninja Turtles design. Based on what you and your brother said about episode 1; I think maybe they should have focused on all the turtles cuz I feel like all their origins coincide with each other. I really like this series!! I had tons of fun with it, it’s popcorn fun!! The animation is also pretty stellar too, particularly in Donnie’s episode!! When this premiered I invited my girl friends over for a TMNT day- we all wore shirts from every generation!! It was so cute!! ❤❤ Loved this vid!!! Always fun seeing your turtle stuff!! ❤❤

Apparently whoever said what Mike said never read the comics. At least the mirage comics. Bc the turtles were killers. The turtles killed Shredder. Splinter trained, the turtles for that reason. Splinter wanted revenge, on Oroku Saki/Shredder. And Leonardo killed the Rat King. Here's the thing, every TMNT cartoon and movie are different that's ok. If it's the same thing over and over and over it will get tiresome. If that's what you want, you mine as well watch the cartoon/movie you grew up with repeatedly. I haven't watched the latest movie, that's only bc I can't stand Seth Rogan.

Pigeon Pete is in the 2012 series I believe. Actually all of the Mutanimals were on there. That's the same series were Ralph had an alien Lizard of. I might be wrong tho.

We cant judge things based on how they were when we were growing up. But, you could judge these shows on if they should be on a subscription based platform or basic cable. Should I go out of my way to get Paramount Plus to watch this show or should I find an alternative way to watch it?

you guys should finish the episodes, to me , it was well done. I watch these series /Movies for what they are and while no series is perfect, this one was a solid effort. (they should have recast the splinter voice I agree) With TMNT , i want to see clever and cool looking Martial arts action with a blend of comedy the rough sketchy style In Mayhem overall is Very fitting for a TMNT series , the Comedy / action was well balanced here it is the best ive seen in a 2d Turtle series, the turtles look and act like real teens, clumsy at times , awkward but building courage to fight their individual battles in the west, especially when it comes to a TMNT series , you can almost guarantee that they will always mix it up and try something new regardless ....new animation style, / character designs /swaps / Origin story etc.....the upcoming last ronin animation series should be interesting...............all in all ,it could be worse, TMNT could like dead in the water like the Thundercats IP

I think Hun's 1st appearance was in the 2003 series. As for tales of tmnt, I wasn't feeling it. I want my turtles to be polished, master fighters. I know what they're going for, and they'll get there eventually, but I'm not interested in seeing them "grow up" right now. Especially with the last ronin in the atmosphere. I don't think they're ready for Shredder yet.

I just can't get with anything after the first cartoon the first 2 movies and the 2000s cartoon. Things has to be superb for me to like it. Im all the way ORIGINAL NINJA TURTLES fanatic. Sorry but i dont like the 5th turtle she needs to die off. But the comics..... FANTASTIC!!!!

A hard pass for me. When it comes to the toons my favorites are the og i grew up on and the 2013 because it has so many nods to all the other iterations of tmnt.(plus that was my sons tmnt). As for movies my favorites are the original 3(especially first 2) and the 2nd Michael bay(because of bebop & Rocksteady). I also enjoyed the computer animated movie that picked up after og pt3 live action movie

i gave up on the turtles when they killed off the bros to replace them with a more inclusive team instead of making a spin off or side team, tired of them being too edge lord with properties. and seems like even in cartoons hollywood doesnt like having strong father figures.

I’m not a fan of them doing that either. But what has helped me, and told to me from Mr. Kevin Eastman himself….each show and story has its own universe. The Last Ronin series just doesn’t have to be aTMNT universe you are a fan of…but other TMNT universes you can be. 👍🏾💜
